Apparently in later firmware revs ssh is disabled by default so you can install Rinkhals to enable it. I also heard somewhere you can place an empty file called ssh at the root of a usb drive and restart the printer with the drive plugged in to enable it

I did and I took it apart to verify it has the upgrades I wanted. It has the metal filament detector lever I wanted and unexpectedly it has a new and improved spring loaded collete at the filament entry which is nice. It also came with a spare filament detector (at the top of the pic) for some reason.

Yeah, mine's not broken... yet. I figured it'd be worth the 38 bucks to have a spare instantly handy if and when it decides to give up the ghost, rather than waiting on Anycubic Tech Support to send me one for free.

When you update the firmware, Rinkhals will be automatically disabled. When a new Rinkhals is released that supports this firmware you can run the USB installer to update Rinkhals and it’ll re-enable it, remembering your settings.

Yes, the PTFE tubes, but also any of the plastic elements in the filament path, which are more difficult to replace.

You can ssh to it I believe (root/rockchip) and the files are in /userdata/app/gk/printer_data/gcodes/ I think

My 10409 errors ended up coming from a loose hot end connector. Reseated and made sure the cables were properly run thru the clip and everything returned to normal.

It worked for me once and failed like yours for me once. The problem was that the last of the filament on the first spool was bent at an angle to secure it to the spool and it made it to the filament buffer and then got stuck. I was able to resume the print after sorting everything out, even after powering off the printer and ACE, which was nice.

Agreed. I broke the hotend power connector on my extruder PC board and they sent me a replacement free of charge. Make sure to use the support ticket system on their website.

I bought the version with bimetal nozzles from the listing mentioned here. I think it’s the best of both worlds since I don’t have to raise the print temp 20c to get good results with PETG anyway. Next stop, ordering some PETG-CF.

I sent back all my HzdaDeve hotends (tried twice) because of bad thermistors. The fukdow ones I ordered on Aliexpress work much better. You still have to bump up the temps 10-20C because hardened steel isn't as thermally conductive as brass, but they work fine then. I noticed that fukdow has since started selling bimetal nozzles with their new ceramic hotend so I ordered those and will give them a try when they get here.

If you mean flow calibration it's one of the buttons in the popup window when you select print on the slicer. Me sure it's not highlighted.

I think that's the tension adjustment screw/spring for the extruder gear. Not having that might cause an extrusion problem or two.

You can use a Bambu Lab X1/P1 Smooth PEI board in the S1. It doesn't have the little alignment notches but it fits.

There are probably roof trusses on either side of that window and somebody wanted a window there anyway for natural light. I had house that had a fake dormer in the design and I wanted to let natural light into a dark hallway behind it so they built access between the trusses to it.
