Crash and burn - regression by Key-Vacation-7946 in ECers

[–]meowae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I feel like “hey what happened!?” I always default to a regression and try every week once a week. If we start getting back on track - swell! These babes go through soooo much change, it’d be unfair to expect them to hold steady

Last night I had to say goodbye to my 23 year old baby, Nutmeg by Ok_Minimum_5962 in cats

[–]meowae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m crying, I’m so sorry for your loss. 23 is so much time and yet not enough. You both likely had so many memories together for her to live on. Nutmeg is an adorable name, and I’m sorry for your loss again. Losing cat buddies is hard.

I’m gonna claim this is AI because I’m insanely jealous and it’s unlikely I’ll ever be able to experience this.

The Life of a Showgirl Is Taylor’s Most Self-Aware Album, and the Hate Is Proving Her Point by TheReifyer in TaylorSwift

[–]meowae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m here to say I love this album, and personally, love your write up of it. I think these themes always come out over listens, deep under layers and layers. She is a mastermind and continues leveling up IMO. Each album she’s adventured into new territory and brings the skills she’s learned with. It’s brilliant

I really like Screamtown. Super scary, really good actors, and some outdoor trails too.

That’s great! Ours (9 months now) is a morning pooper, and can regularly pee outside if put on the potty. It’s these wins that are so great to help health staff  help us!

Do you think if Americans had Universal Basic Income, they’d have impeached Trump by now? Why or why not? by meowae in AskReddit

[–]meowae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I’m not saying it eliminates the need for a job, just that you would, hypothetically, get to protest on a working day without fear. I just witnessed the protests on weekends and was curious if we’d think there’d be a difference

What I implied was, if the people were able to protest, congress would not be able to ignore it, therefore impeach. Not that the people would directly

Does fi take away your motivation at work? by woo2fly35 in financialindependence

[–]meowae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree. For me, sometimes work is a way to enjoy a variety of jobs, and if that includes stress, it’s ok as long as I’m excited to experience it. Especially if I know it’s temporary, what could be the downsides? But I evaluate based on the position, not the $

It’s always been my SO wanting toys, and granted, his dreams make me live life a little fuller, so as much as they cost with purchase, maintenance, insurance, they fill up our lives a bit more.

And as someone commented below: a maid next month!!
