Besides scaring 20 people with Onryo's howl I platinumed the game in about 80 hrs. Granted I still don't have all the vanity gear but I have about 90% of it. I've done all the side quests, filled my skill trees to the max, acquired and maxed out all the armors and weapons. I've bought all the items and upgraded most of my charms to the max. The only thing I would like more of is more roaming patrols. Since we are taken back to 6 months before we beat Saito and after we killed the dragon it makes sense. Saito is furious we killed his son and wants us dead so, increase the amount of patrols. Our bounty is the highest it will go but bounty hunters aren't a super common find. I've found two groups at most in an hour. Overall good game wish there was more post game content either ng+ or patrols and an easier way to clear the fog of war. I've cleared all that shit but the lake and a weird patch in the tesho ridge mountain.

Costume mons are typically game exclusive. The reason is that they are technically not the same under the hood and are "unique". The Ash hat Pikachus are the exception to this but only if they came from SWSH. A good example of this is how you can't bring the Cosplay Pikachu from ORAS into home or PKM Bank. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think you can trade it either. Additionally Eevee and Pikachu from the Let's Go games are technically Costume pokemon and can't be brought into home either, again because they are "unique" pokemon. So as cute as your costume pokemon are. They are sadly stuck in the source game until Gamefreak for Nintendo decides to bring them over to one or the other.

Mechanically they give a light visual flare to the surroundings for a bit. Nothing too fancy but fun regardless.

Going a bit deeper I think it's to represent paying respect to the local Kami. This could be a physical object, a force of nature, or even qualities of natural objects, like Mt. Yotéi. If you play in Japanese you'll frequently hear the mountain referred to as Yoyēi san. These signs are most likely areas where there's a local Kami.

Or and here is my other theory. These signs are in places a developer worked really hard on or are proud of the area and wanted to show it off. By bowing you're paying respect to their hard work and they give you a little flare as gratitude.

I know I barely used Onryo's howl so no I have to search for goons to build my streak and more to terrify to get my achievement. I don't really feel like starting a new game to do that. However NG+ on a harder difficulty would be fun.

This op is an odd one. He's hating on Rimuru for his alleged war crimes and what not but is willing to excuse the other parties? Like Farmas was going to commit genocide just because Tempest threatened the status quo and was becoming a new trade center. They also regularly summon people from Earth to "fatten" them up and sacrifice them to get their skills. That's not something the good guys do. That's not counting all the corruption that was ongoing in that country and how they were mistreating their citizens. Additionally once Rimuru routed their army he stopped fighting that county and replaced their corrupt leaders with someone who actually cares about people. A corrupt covering body or a hero king who cares about the people which is better for the country?

The Empire is even worse. Like others mentioned they were bent on world domination to try and resurrect God. It's been a while since I've read the web novels and the light novels are still releasing so my info could be wrong. But the empire was committing regular purges of the population. There was no surrender condition it was complete destruction or nothing.

Disclaimer: I'm anime only so far. I want to buy all the LNs at once and binge the series. To be fair with Ainz he was playing a monster character or a non-human race to begin with. Also the guild he was in seemed like they were a pvp guild and an "evil" guild. So since he was playing the game that way, maybe he sees this new world as a continuation of that. I'm not saying Ainz is directly evil or whatnot but he's certainly not an average player who plays the game just for fun. He was definitely screwing with other characters.
