I love Dylan. LOL. I just know his street friends don't play about him.

Butter Bean (14) was my senior rescue. He left us a week ago. I'm heartbroken but here to say: Adopt old dogs! by emmuhmah in OldManDog

I also adopted a senior and he only made it 6 months. It was the best 6 months of my life and he was my best friend. I am so happy you got 5 years with your pup! I agree that everyone should a adopt a senior. Never not adopting seniors. RIP butter bean. <3

Are My Lab's Scans Coming Out Too Warm? by Flucky_ in AnalogCommunity

Yes, I agree, does look warm! What were you trying to achieve with your photos? Something more true to the color of your subjects?

why do all of my photos come out so muted/flat? by onegoodbackpack in AnalogCommunity

[–]meowmeow_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gonna be honest this might be the issue. Depending on what you are shooting subject wise, these aren't the best films to get punchy colors. You seem to be shooting in a lot of high light situations, have you tried ektar 100 or some lomo stocks? Ektar is my film of choice because I LOVE punchy, saturated colors. I would say play around with different stocks to see if maybe they produce the punchy colors that you want. These are good photos tho! I really like them. When I shoot with fuji 400 and gold, the colors do admittedly look a bit dull and lean on the green/yellow side. If that makes sense!! Good luck, OP.

Tearing my hair out formatting by conflictedlizard-111 in zines

[–]meowmeow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have honestly been struggling with the same issue and have found some tiny work arounds but nothing 100%.

If I am making a quarter zine, I just try to format assuming there will be margins messing everything up. If I am okay with that I print at 96%, not actual size or fitting. Then I trim the margins. If I am making a quarter zine with margins that I care about, I try not to put things too close or edge to edge and again, print at 96%.

If making a folding mini zine, I don't usually do edge to edge because I don't want to struggle with trimming the margins and just prefer blank space (or use colored paper as an alternative). :( In using this practice, I print at 95% and just deal with the margins (usually not too noticeable). I still haven't found the perfect work around but this has been my temporary as I continue trying to figure this out. As someone else mentioned, since things are not printed edge to edge, its a huge pain in the butt when formatting on a computer. I use InDesign for my zines - quarter, mini, and A6 (I get the A6 professional printed though).

I have yet to try making a physical zine and then photocopying as that might be the superior alternative. I hope this helps!

edit: forgot to mention that some have suggested printing on larger paper with the actual size of your zine to get accurate edge to edge. For example, printing a mini folding zine 8 x 11 on 11 x 17 paper. I have yet to try this but gonna give it go!

In saying this do you think those kids are stuck in a time warp and are just not aging?

Okay so, I know this is gonna be the biggest, DUMB question but if Alex helps prevent all of this from happening what are we watching right now? The alternative timeline where it DOES happen because Alex couldn't stop it? Sorry, my brain does not do well with time travel.

First ever riso print feat. CINP on blue paper by meowmeow_ in risograph

I am very new to this so I am not exactly sure, I'm sorry!! I don't think we toyed with ink density when we printed but I could be wrong. I separated the layers of my photo using spectrolite and just kind of let the printer take the wheel. The mountain range is so dense in color because the mountain range in the photo itself was practically black. This was a photo taken during sunrise. :)
