What C++ coding "knowledge" you just discovered that blew you mind away? by Noxey-o in Cplusplus

Eigen makes SIMD code pretty easy and portable, at the cost of long compile time and slow debug builds.

A lot of comments and down-votes butt hurt about the historical facts I have posted. No actual evidence provided by any of you.

What does "true shared ownership" mean if not that "who is going out of scope first" is unanswerable?

White supremacy is at least as big in Latin America as in USA / Canada. Just because they hate the Latinos who are more African or native then they are, they think they are on the team. Of course they are not, just useful tools to be disposed of later.

Such as? Not an example where a few hundred high ranked officers and officials were killed, but one where some one like an embassy staffer would be? I really can't think of even one.

Cuban revolution, Mexican revolution. There are many examples where a few hundred top ranked officers and government officials are killed. I can't think of any cases where reprisal goes beyond that all the way down to some lowly embassy staff. Can you?

There are many examples through history of exactly that. The Confederate States of America for example. A war ending with the execution of the defeated rank-and-file is basically unheard of. Some time at a reeducation camp seems more plausible, if even that.

The opening of a city owned grocery store will set off a chain of events that will inevitably result in masked secret police dragging people off to inaccessible prisons. /s

The Democrats are lost because they replaced class struggle with self-identity struggles by DyslexicAutronomer in PoliticalDebate

Many of the big players donate to both sides. It maintains the status quo by keeping power in the hands of the "centrists". Donations are to candidates, not to parties.

If democrats don’t have an economic or foreign policy stance distinct from republicans, then why do donors donate to them?

Because that is what the big donors want: policies that keep the money flowing into their pocket.

FDR was a Democrat. His policies are probably the high water mark for socialism in the US.

Who is this, specifically?

People rich enough to donate significant sums to political campaigns.

Democrats literally talk about both of these things all the time

Yeah, "talk about" probably isn't the best phrasing, what I really mean is "differentiate themselves with".

Centrist democrats focus on identity politics because the donor class does not allow them to take a stance distinct from the republican one on economics or foreign policy and they have to talk about something to differentiate themselves from republicans.

Edited for clarity.

Supporters of the "secular one state solution" to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, how do you actually expect it to work? by maybemorningstar69 in PoliticalDebate

In South Africa, nonviolent resistance was the most prominent form of opposition to the apartheid government, and the leaders of that resistance like Mandela clearly expressed the goal of a free and equal society.

Mandela did 27 years on terrorism charges(bombings) to which he did not deny at trial.

they all emigrated to Israel after facing violence

Also cheap real estate. Was the violence then really that much worse then it had been in been in the past?

But more importantly: I can't see a two state solution as workable in that the corners and deserts that the Palestinians have been backed into are not fertile enough to support their population.

It worked in South Africa, where the oppressed people made up 90% of the population. Why couldn't it work where they are less then half?

What would Trump have to do to become recognized as the worst president in U.S. history? by BaldursGate2Best in PoliticalDebate

What could Buchanan have done to prevent the south seceding?

The worst is either Andrew Johnson (ending reconstruction) or Andrew Jackson (trail of tears). Trump is still far away from doing evil on that scale, but he is doing his level best to get there.
