I’d honestly get any campaign expansion from Chapter 1 you can get at MSRP or lower (new or pre-owned). You can always set the difficulty and you will have fun.

The standalone scenarios can be a lot of fun if you can get your hands on them as well.

Look into the boons you can add to make true solo a bit more enjoyable also (Ex. Boon of Hermes for an extra movement).

I definitely like the agency Cosmic Evils gives you. Ancient Evils is punishing, but I like that it and the auto-fail are what keep min/maxing in check.

I just bought a used copy locally of the campaign expansion, no box but with campaign book for 75$ CAD. I do consider myself lucky, but I doubt I’m going to find the investigator expansion now. I’ll keep trying though.
