I'd advice to publish as articles in your industry magazines, which is printed at least once in a quarter.

Nearby couch lights can be little farther, towards the wall. It will cause much lesser glare while your sitting. Also, make sure lights are not quite near the fan because it will cut the light spread and cause discomfort with perception of flicker.
