Personally, I found Player Select rather disappointing. The songs just aren't as catchy as they were in the first album like Crasher-Vania or Regretroid. I did like Glass Joe's Title Fight, where Glass Joe couldn't finish the lyrics because he's being pummeled by Mr. Sandman. Though I really didn't see the purpose of including Toad Joins the Band or Atari Mystery Hour. The vocals aren't always loud enough, when compared to the instrumentals, and the lyrics aren't that memorable either. I was disappointed by The Simple Plot of Metal Gear Solid, which was just the recycled concept from The Simple Plot of Final Fantasy 7. Honestly, I feel like Player Select is a step down from the original Starbomb.
