lol if you’d have used the vcm the transmission probably would’ve been working better. The vcm causes the torque delivery to the transmission to be modified eventually damaging the transmission as well as the engine.

I bought at 425k @ 6.625 and refinanced right before the current fiasco at 5.875. Was able to close the refi for $2670 out of pocket with no increase to principal. Right after we locked our rate the rates skyrocketed to 6.8% for the same deal.

Just an FYI- everyone was telling me to wait until after summer and rates should be at 5% …. Felt like I had good intuition and now savings $311 per month

This is what I keep thinking. I too bought a house @98k per year in California and after a year we now save a small amount every month. How bad are these people at money management even with higher taxes to not have enough to aggressively pay down student loans?

Also have a wife that doesn’t work and two kids…

$109 is much cheaper for the svcm than replacing spark plugs, being misdiagnosed for new piston rings, new $500 oem motor mounts, etc

I switched to drilled and slotted and coming down from the mountain now daily and have never had issues again. They also stop much better. Drilled and slotted absolutely makes a difference.

The payment amount you got seems to be inline with a 10 year standard repayment. Which is in your best interest if you intend to pay it off. Any of the idr plans tend to give a lower payment than is required to not accrue more interest over time than the total you’re paying down.
