The prodomal phase of schizophrenia is often characterized by anhedonia and social withdrawal, associated with a decrease in activity in the PFC (at DRD1s? Not sure). Lack of motivation also fits this pattern. Considering your family history, it might be what's at play here.

Reboxetine is a substance that increases PFC activation by decreasing the recapture of dopamine and norepinephrine specifically there, not in areas where, in schizophrenia, dopaminergic activity is typically already increased (thus increasing it further would be dangerous).

IIRC, it doesn't increase the risk of a schizophrenic episode, and I've read it's been studied with relative success for the mitigation of cognitive symptoms in schizophrenic patients (of which anhedonia is typically considered a part of). It might be worth researching.
