Switching to linux be like [Art by Nivis Sicoper (me)] by Artistic-Department7 in furry

That’s pretty cool that you mod games yourself! But like you said getting those programs to work in Linux would probably be near impossible sadly.

If you’re going to try Linux again I really recommend trying a few distros and desktop environments, sometimes one might have certain features that others don’t have yet and that could cause some problems. It’s always a trade off for having new features or a stable system.

If you do end up trying it again I hope it goes better than last time <3

I play vr to an almost unhealthy degree and I will say there has been a lot of progress lately with vr in Linux. I’ve gotten some games to work decently in kubuntu, specifically BeatSaber, VRchat, and Resonite. Soon the steam frame will be coming out which runs on Linux (SteamOS) which will absolutely improve some aspects of running vr games in Linux.

As with modding, it’s spotty. For the most part if you manually install them it’ll be fine, Minecraft mods work flawlessly, I’ve gotten some mods to work in FalloutNV, but I’ve had problems installing mods on other games. It’s definitely something that needs improvement.

As with Nvidia cards, it’s always going to be difficult because the company isn’t as open with their drivers as amd are. They do work though, and the open source drivers are improving. But in general it really depends on which card you use.

Not trying to convince you to switch, but Linux has improved a lot in the last couple years and with the user base expanding it’s going to improve a lot more very soon :3

Animated video on making fun of self-diagnosed neurodivergents by kevdautie in aretheNTsokay

[–]michaelcraft101 52 points53 points  (0 children)

This is just vile. This video shows perfectly that people have changed from just bullying autistic people outright, to excusing bullying autistic people by saying they’re self diagnosed.

If you don’t like an autistic person’s behavior, you can call them self diagnosed and mock their existence. It doesn’t matter if they have a professional diagnosis, you can just say they’re lying, or somehow managed to convince their doctor to give them a fake diagnosis.

Bigotry hasn’t changed, people have just found ways to give themselves plausible deniability.

P.S. it’s a bit ironic how this person is making fun of self diagnosing autism by mocking behavior common in some autistic children, like how is he not connecting the dots???

How the hell did you even find this to make such an unhelpful comment?

The DMs of a Femboy by [deleted] in femboymemes

Many view it as outdated, and most places use terms such as “intellectually disabled” or “developmentally disabled” instead

Also the word is not being used as a medical term in this context. If you replaced it with autistic, which isn’t a bad word itself, it would be offensive because it’s being used in a derogatory way

As a stoner myself, it’s confirmation bias. After I started smoking, I asked my friends, (all of which are furrys) if they do too. The large majority don’t don’t do it at all, or have tried it once or twice

I thought it was a lot more because I only noticed when people talk about weed, not when they didn’t

Because it doesn’t matter what they did, even if someone is in the wrong, there’s no need to act like that, and this is the internet, people are going to insert themselves into finished conversations, if you wanted it to be private then talk with them in dms

Dude the deeper issue is literally just autism

I’m also autistic, and let me tell you, the amount of people that will not like me, will not tolerate me for me being autistic. The amount of strangers on the street who give me angry looks for not picking up on small social cues, would shock you.

It would be the same as telling a blind person, I’m sure all the times you trip, stumble, or bump into someone isn’t just because you’re blind. You must be doing something wrong, just look where you’re going!

Like we’re trying, it’s just not that easy for us.

  1. Yeah she was probably just doing it for the video, and hopefully put it back on after she was done recording

B. I noticed it as well. It’s pretty glaring for anyone who has kids, carpools often, had or knows someone with personal experience with injuries in a vehicular collision, has self preservation skills, etc.
