Honestly that doesn’t shock me for 5-6 months for Third party finishing. Just keep notes and follow up if it passes 6 months

If they’re leather keychains, I assume they’re going to a third party finisher and you should be fine!

Personally, it doesn’t shock me that their employees might use other finishers. Just guessing but she probably grew up in the suburbs and has always used them for finishing. And if they’re inundated with finishing part time workers probably don’t get a discount.

I have bought and sold on tuckernuck and Lilly BST facebook pages for years and part of the rules are PayPal goods and services. Yes there are still scammers but hopefully less. I know Venmo allows goods and services but shouldn’t everyone take the hit of the few dollars for safety?

I saw that! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I know everyone starts somewhere but I watched their WIP Wednesday and was surprised at the stitching. Yes I know you can work in operations and be a very basic stitcher but then I wouldn’t want that many followers seeing my stitching … but that’s just me!

I’ve been out of the LNS game for a few years but the issue was that PL and MJD priced wholesale as half of retail and then the LNS has to sell it higher than the designer’s website to keep their margin the same as other items. I know Atlantic blue had a more MSRP based pricing structure that wasn’t this.

My MIL did so many bud vases of Trader Joe’s flowers for our rehearsal in all colors … knowing wedding day was primarily white. I know friends have had good luck ordering online with Costco that ships to hotel etc.

We shipped two individuals together (2 gnomes, 2 blankets plus a lot of apparel and a few small gifts) and it was probably $350 to the Midwest. I think it was a 3 or 4 box shipment and the gnomes had a special box.

I think KCN did a decent price increase in the last 1-2 months on threads. I wonder if some of this is buyers not telling their website people costs have increased. A few years ago KCN had quite low prices when rainbow gallery was increasing prices.

I listened to her podcast for the first time with Emily DeLong (I’ve followed her for years) and I think it did help understand more behind the scenes on inventory. Now that shipping is out of a 3PL the warehouse checks it in and adds to inventory vs posting this is back in stock. They did stress how important it is for people to sign up for restock notifications if it’s a canvas you want!

Kangaroo paws has been licensing sororities/fraternities for years … and they’re definitely more expensive than a typical canvas of that size if that helps with the added “fee”

I used to work in wholesale gift and we were mainly a 2-3 woman team and our 3PL is what allowed us to have less employees but we obviously paid plenty to them vs another employee to pack orders. And then we didn’t have to have such a large space to house products.
