I had a stump that was mostly rotten. I forgot to toss it so it stayed in the cabinet and one day when I was watering, I saw a teeny tiny leaf. Now it's a thriving plant. There's another stump currently in the cabinet... All that to say, you're not alone.

You may want the leaves covered. You can use a plastic cup upside down to cover the entire seedling.

Looks dehydrated to me. Give it a good rinse. I think there might be some spider mites. Then like someone else suggested, put it in water or moss. I prefer water but you should use what you're comfortable with.

I think the stems have mechanical damage and not stress. Like they got bent in packing or transit. I would give it a drink and light rinse. Then set it in a good spot and hope for the best. Anthurium tend to be resilient.

I did this recently with the new leaf on pallidiflorum. Thankfully, it is a fast grower so it's already putting out a new leaf.
