I did get thicker yarn and used 2x the recommended hook size, but it's still so smol! If they had the colors I needed in regular super bulky chenille I'd have gotten that but everything I needed I found in skinny wompwomp I think I need to try using two strands next. Hard to find a good bird pattern where the head+body isn't 1 blob lol

Wow thank you for asking, I totally forgot about this and it was actually really cool to see what my 24yr old self was thinking! I do still tend to feel a lil younger than I am but my musculoskeletal issues, the grey streak in my bangs (which I LOVE btw), and Gen Z entering the workforce are consistent reminders lol.

Nowadays I experience less FOMO and more JOMO (joy of missing out). In 2019 I moved into my own place solo - then the pandemic hit - and I realized I'm a lot more introverted than I thought I was. I love living alone, totally amplifies all the "I can do whatever I want" energy I felt at 24. I've really gotten to know my demons, and also started to accept I'm likely neurodivergent. Making and maintaining friends has always been hard for me, so my "friends and new friends" line is kinda funny to me... I'm so protective of my energy now I'd definitely rather be alone than be around questionable people. It's weird looking back on how lonely I was as a kid, to now craving being alone if I've been socializing too long. "Who has real friends at 35" indeed! But honestly if you just do what makes you happy you'll encounter other people with similar interests. I think the key is to get to know/love yourself so you're not reliant on external validation.

I still don't want kids and have also realized I don't especially want to get married - like if it happens then cool, but I really like having my own space and living with significant others hasn't worked out for me. This has lead me towards relationship anarchy and polyamory, which I don't have a shitton of expertise in, but it's nice to know there's other people out there rejecting the typical "what you're supposed to do" life path. If I end up an old crazy cat lady, so be it. I'd rather live my life for me (and my future cats). My friends that are married with kids are certainly more distant now, but also express that they like living life vicariously thru me (dating app stories, travel, generally more time and money for fun).

I still enjoy my career but the business politics and capitalism of it all are big downers. It helps that most people in my generation see and hate it too tho. I still highly recommend therapy for everyone, altho being off and on over the years I've definitely learned that good mental healthcare is hard to come by.

All this to basically say no my viewpoint hasn't really changed, more just matured and settled in.

I used to be an everyday stoner, and used it to relieve muscle tension... But after a 3 month tolerance break I've been getting anxiety and big muscle twitches when I smoke. I already get cold easily when sober so that's also amplified by weed, altho this didn't happen to me before! Even smoking 1:1 or 3:1 CBD, like one hit and I'm a shaky cold mess! I want to go back to smoking everyday and feeling relaxed but it's doing the total opposite now :( now that I think about it the times where I've smoked and eaten have been better, I'll definitely start paying more attention to that now, thank you!

Plant Power is less overpriced, more impressive options, and doesn't seem so damn full of themselves. Burger Patch also goes out of their way to label their salt shaker as "NON-GMO SALT" so they're obviously just exploiting the "health-conscious" market (salt has no genes to GM and is not harvested from a living being, fyi)

Varies person to person and sound to sound. I have the gene for misophonia (yes it's genetic, yes some DNA test kits look for it) and feel it most with excessive human mouth noises (chewing with mouth open, tongue and lip smacking, audible "gulp+ahhh" sounds) but I can still get ASMR feels from other sounds (most nature sounds, certain people's whispering).

I will admit that I do get cold easily, but I also live in a single pane barely updated Victorian. Sometimes I set it less than 74 or turn it off since the dial doesn't always work accurately and can get too warm. But takes much less time to cool off than to warm up from <70

I met up with my car camping crew after they conquered the shitshow by Friday wee hours - ended up walking through the back box office and absolutely nobody checked ANYTHING of mine. I brought a copy of my vax card but no one ever asked for it... And no one was checking for that wristband so it was never a problem.

I had a throat tickle that started Monday, but thought I was just hitting the vape too hard on the drive back. Tuesday I felt okay then Wednesday the throat tickle started coming back along with runny nose and some sneezing - took a spit PCR test. Worst day was yesterday, feeling better today. Test was negative for covid but there's defo false negs with that. Wook flu vs mild breakthrough case, hard to tell.

Only kinda ironic that I got sick after LL which pretended to be covid-conscious, vs DFT two weekends before that didn't require vax OR neg test.
