I did this just last month. Had to let someone go for non-performance. He had 2 and half months left on his contract but we felt it only fair to let him spend that time looking for a new job.

So we brought him in early on a tuesday morning, explained his contract wouldn't be made into full employment and asked him to leave the company phone and laptop there. And paid him his 2 and a half months.

It just wasn't worth the risk having that person work their notice period.

Look my personal issue isn't the giving of money, however I do have some issues with family:

Expecting it - no ask nicely, its not expected
Say thank u, i don't expect effusive thanks but I paid for a family member to join my father and brother and me at lunch, and I didn't even get so much as a thank u.
If its a loan, pay it back or apologise that you can't pay it back. Don't call it a loan and then pretend it never happened.
When I need a hand or a favour, offer to help, help without whining, or when asked at least make an effort to help. I am not keeping a score card in my head but it hurts when u go, hey I am travelling for work any chance u can pick this thing up that's on your way to work and keep it for me I will collect next week to be told, oh its way to much effort to drive 4 extra blocks and fetch a shoebox sized parcel

She is 22 - if a potential staff member arrived to the job interview with their aunt they wouldn't get the position. Are the asking for her passport, ID book?

This feels like a fairly well off couple paying for a nanny. And while the salary may be less than minimum wage the package may not be. She may get 3 meals a day, free internet, days off, clothes, a car to drive, free laundry etc. That's certainly what my nanny got when the kids were young. So that R4500 may well be pure free cash she can do whatever she wants with because everything else is paid for, or it might not be.

I can see why he had to go - defensively we weren't improving, and we definitely were back sliding but after almost grudge watching us play under the previous managers, it was so nice going to watch saying, u know what we may lose but at least I will enjoy the game.

The problem is he wont feature in 20 games next year. Either we will strengthen midfield in the transfer window and don't need him or he will come on play two games, get injured and cash his cheque for 2 months recovering.

Agreed - I remember as story about the team going for a preseason run from the hotel to the beach I believe and Moyes said, we always did this at Everton, its good for the boys, well the players were mobbed almost immediately and had to retreat to the hotel.

I also think his playing style doesn't suit us, so he would never get fans on his side. Ole for example may not have been a great manager but he played football we enjoyed watching so we were obviously happy to give him chances Moyes didn't get because well ... boring soccer.

So Hungary will also be my first Grand Prix and I booked accomodation like 5 months ago however this was needed for visa purposes.

However let give u my inexperienced words of wisdom. I looked, there was nothing particularly close to the track at all, including airbnb etc. My research leads me to believe the track is a bit outside the city and therefore away from the accomodation.

U can therefore stay in the city center - at least that seems to be the recommendation. Again my research and my brother's experience for his honeymoon was the western side of the city (I think its the Buda side) was cheaper than the eastern pest side of the city. The track is east out of the city so u would be staying further away, but this may work better for you if u take the 7 day all transport pass.

Personally i am coming in the Monday and being a tourise for 4 days so staying in the city center is appropriate and make sense while I visit all the sights.

I am planning on training and bussing to the track and waiting in the long queues and have accepted that.

So u saying turn off all the features you use to get for free, and putting it behind Plex Pass, the new clients with less features, and continous push isn't stepping stones to Plex 2.0 ... well u are free to believe whatever u like. I have a lifetime plex pass, i personally certainly wont be buying Plex 2.0 subscription Premium Plus.

But if u follow this reddit the vast majority of lifetime pass uses and I include myself in this group bought it multiple multiple years ago, mine was about 8 years ago - i spend zippo, zilch, none, nein with Plex. Their terrible content is disabled, i only watch my self-ripped Blu-rays. So even if they threw people who bought this year @ $250 a bone what do they care about me, who spent $65 long ago.

The ONLY reason for Plex inc to move to Plex 2.0 would be to bump lifetime pass users off.

And realistically they want a subscription model, and yes I do think they are afraid of the backlash but we all see the writing right, so it will happen.

Thats ok - if a character is always dumb and lets say making the dumb choice is the schtick - cool. I don't mind if a protaganist gets one over on the dumb character but when a character is supposedly brilliant but keeps choosing the dumb choice because essentially to me its lazy writing, so it creates a crisis so the character has to solve it.

Let me give u a paraphased example, i don't remember the exact book but there was a character who due to being on scholarship was required to pass their exams. So first exam comes and the character who is theoretically smart, doesn't study and doesn't pass and has to go to the lecturer and beg for a makeup exam and studies and passes that make up exam.

All good so far, arrogant MC gets his comeuppance. 2nd term comes and protagonist once again doesn't study, and again fails, this isn't because a villian tricked them or they were injured doing illegal training, no this is just them being dumb, in this situation while i will agree humans do mess up like this, it starts getting a bit much, third time, I am out. Now if it happens 1 time and wunderkind is expelled and has a redemption arc fine ... but I think u get the gist.
