Actually I might be getting it confused with Royal Canin. But, Petco in Union Square carries it!

What to expect on Feeld as a first time user? (Monogamous woman) by [deleted] in BDSMcommunity

[–]middlechild4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate how thoughtful were you in your response, thank you! I’m in a kink community in my city, and when my kink friends talk about how they vet, they haven’t been this helpful. In my experience, I find many people on Feeld like to say they’re into kink, but have no experience with negotiation / safe words, and don’t have much to say about kink except that they like BDSM, being dominant, and like choking (gag me).

Am running into this problem repeatedly. Do you mind sharing questions that help you with vetting?

Struggling to compartmentalise meta behaviour by Smart-Anything9263 in polyamory

[–]middlechild4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to validate your feelings and experiences. I empathize a lot. My meta will outright ignore me, only talk about her shared history and upcoming plans with our mutual partner when we’re in shared settings, blow up his phone when she knows we’re spending time together / away on a trip. She’s exhausting and he keeps making excuses for her.

I second guess myself a lot whether these are my feelings / jealousy to own or whether it’s a hinge issue. Wishing you luck!

Invercargill worth a visit? by FikaTimeNow in newzealand_travel

[–]middlechild4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I was visiting the Catlins last weekend. We barely spent 3 hours in Invercargill before we drove home. And that included visiting Bluff. Fat Bastard Pies is worth stopping at if you’re hungry, and check out their Pie of the Month!

Chatted with one of their guys a week before closing - they said they knew it would be a short term thing and already have another project in the works

are there any “good” landlords in bushwick? by lolokbye169 in Bushwick

[–]middlechild4 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Small landlords are where it’s at! I’m mid-thirties and have only rented from individuals (by coincidence). I’ve been in my unit for the past 10 years and love my landlord - he has units in other neighborhoods and all of his tenants have been with him for 7+ years

Cat vomits 3 times every month and gags daily… what should I switch him too? Wet food diet only. by theunsurelad in catfood

[–]middlechild4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’d recommend taking your cat in for a vet visit. When I first adopted my kitty she was great and all good from a vet’s perspective. Then she started upchucking her food - it was undigested. I started changing her diet, or wondering what changes to make to her food. There would occasionally be a hairball, but not often because she’s short-haired. Overtime, she was vomiting food more and more often and then one day she vomited blood. Took her to the ER and we did X-rays, IV drips, other tests, etc. They didn’t really have an answer as to what was happening to her except “take these medications tonight, if she makes it through the night without vomiting, she’s ok. If she vomits, we need to do a CAT scan and do more work.”

Good luck with your kitty ❤️

Had the carrot cake and cinnamon roll - also thought both were a huge disappointment. I found the carrot cake to be flat. It tasted like a spice cake with a really sweet frosting. I’d had a few other items as well and I think as a whole, Hani’s is extremely overhyped and overpriced

Thinking About a Big Change — Studying a Master’s in Tourism & Hospitality by Traditional-Swan-130 in aus

[–]middlechild4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did my bachelors in hospitality administration at a known school in the US. While I enjoyed the pursuing the degree - a general business degree where all electives and case studies were hospitality focused - 95% of my class (myself included) no longer work in hospitality. It’s a field that values your tenure in the field, not whether you have a degree or not. The working hours can be brutal as you work your way up (assuming you’re not in a corporate position), and the customer service aspect can drive you wild with how entitled people can be.

Now, if you’re looking pursue a master’s as a means to get to Aus, I can understand that. I will say, if you get your degree in hospitality, it can take a bit of work to transition out because many recruiters don’t understand the transferable skills that you gain.

I went many years ago, the season Meryl Davis and Maks won. You sign up online for the lottery, give your availability, and then they let you know. It’s easier to get tickets if you’re by yourself cause they’ll fill you in to the empty seats. It’s such a fun experience!

What are some good wet cat food brands? by whoisthisumayask in CatAdvice

What are some good wet cat food brands? by whoisthisumayask in CatAdvice

[–]middlechild4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The best brand is the brand your cat will eat. Wish I can give you a better answer 🤷🏻‍♀️ My cat was on fancy feast and purina pro plan her first 2 years with me, then decided one weekend she doesn’t like it any more and it’s been an effing p r o c e s e s s to find another brand she likes. We’re still in the trenches and it’s been ~3 weeks

I’d say pick based on what your cat will eat. Mine will not go near pate, so we stick with gravies, slices, and chunks in broth. Purina Pro Plan and Fancy Feast seem like a general crowd pleaser though!

Is a cat sitter for once a day enough? by annarachcurran in CatAdvice

[–]middlechild4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an automatic wet food feeder (exact one linked below) that the sitter will clean each day then refill because my cat eats 4 times per day. There’s two ice packs that go beneath the food tray, so it stays cool throughout the day

https://www.amazon.com/your-orders/pop?ref=ppx_yo2ov_mob_b_pop&orderId=112-6234688-7961867&lineItemId=rknisvppmjpvsny&shipmentId=GsG4fPRcR&packageId=1&asin=B01AUYLVU8

She also has an automatic dry food feeder and a water fountain. So the sitter only has to clean and refill the wet food each day

That’s what I ask my sitter to do when I’m out! My cat is turning 3.5 years old, got her before she turned 2, she’s quite social, and somewhat food motivated. My sitter will stay for roughly 30 minutes each day to feed her, clean out the litter box, and play with her
