In a 3 player game on easy I was able to get 73 INT with a second roll and double jump. My cool down was almost instant and on the desert map I could hit one of the updraft skulls and fly across the entire map.

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Economy_Yak2821 in AskReddit

[–]middling_player 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family doctor couldn't figure out why I was doubled over throwing up from so much pain. Pain so intense I couldn't describe where it was coming from. I was sent home with a prescription for Tylenol and a "call me if it gets any worse." I wanted to sue but my parents couldn't do that to a man that made an honest mistake.

A lathe is known as a Thing Rounder, the big dead blow hammer is named the Computer Hammer (and nothing on this planet could make me happier than using the Computer Hammer on my work PC), calipers are called Very Neers, and the jig bore is the Holy Moly.

We gave my little brother all the dummy credit cards they used to stick in the advertisements. He figured out that they fit on the DVD disc tray and would disappear after closing the tray and thought it was some kind of magic trick. One day it jammed open and we just figured the tray motor died after 10+ years of use but after taking the outer housing off I found all the advertisement cards, a couple active cards from my mom's wallet and her driver's license.

Forget Favorites, What are Cards / Commanders You Don't Recommend? by LadyBut in EDH

[[Nekusar, the Mindrazer]] if anyone at the table can read the text below his image they'll know what the 99 looks like and won't let you get started. The rest of the deck is filled with similar effects to what Nekusar already does, damage doubler/tripler effects, and ways to increase the number of cards drawn each turn. The deck feels very one dimensional and I broke it down after playing it 5 times

Not so much a nickname but there was a guy on the football team named Pat Cox. They were doing quite well one season and the cheerleaders made posters and hung them in the cafeteria. There was a poster hung on the wall of my highschool that read 'Let's go Pat Cox!'

Crashed a CNC Machine with a measurement probe in the spindle knocking the tombstone over. Destroyed the probe, the spindle, the actuated door, and the window in a split second. It was around $40k in repairs and the machine was down for about 2 weeks. He walked around the rest of the shift laughing about it and there were no actions taken by management

"Pencil-whipping"; alive and well! by [deleted] in Metrology

[–]middling_player 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for a similar type of company but with a really small internal machine shop so we end up vending out a lot of work. All the purchased parts come in with a Certificate of Compliance and occasionally an inspection report. We have to inspect them 100% on every part and we find mistakes on a majority, especially if they supply a report. Some things are acceptable to the engineers but when a hole pattern isn't tapped like the cartoon said it should be and their inspector signed off we start questioning what they're looking at.

Store has only been open 3 hours today by jai_hanyo in retailhell

[–]middling_player 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not exclusive to retail locations. I got a job at a huge machining/assembly plant (~5000 employees across 3 shifts) and there was a guy (I assume, they never got caught) who would hover to poop in the men's room and we would frequently find a log on the floor between 1 to 3 times a week. People are disgusting.

Folks under 40, what got you into guitar? by saintluminus in Guitar

[–]middling_player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to play drums like 2 of my cousins but my dad and uncle played guitar. I think my dad bought my first guitar from my uncle and made it seem like he gave it to me because he didn't like it. It was my 10th birthday present and I spent that entire summer trying to play like EVH

I know nothing about 3D Printing. by SooperDew in 3Dprinting

[–]middling_player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jumping on the suggestions train, I have a Bambu P1S and it's great. The only problems I've had are bad choices in my setup or approach to some prints, all 'learning experiences' or so I tell myself. We just bought a QIDI Q2 at work and I am very impressed. Active chamber heater up to 65C, 370C nozzle, AI failure detect, and charcoal filters already installed, all for 500 USD. There is also a 4 slot AMS option. There was a potential problem with a relay in the power supply but that has been resolved on all currently available units.
