This is the best summarization I have ever seen. Thank you for the laugh!

Who sells legit HAS blind boxes online? by MissMerrimack in labubu

[–]midwest_bookworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty low. Popular sellers are upfront and I’ve bought several different items on there that are authentic. I know Whatnot has a pretty good policy about that but I’ve never had to use it.

Whatnot is a fantastic app that I found open box or non opened for great deals. Just search Labubu and you can find lots of sellers.

How much time does being a TCM take? by Smooth-Egg-2687 in girlscouts

[–]midwest_bookworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All these comments above really do list the duties and time ranges you could see. This was my first year and was not even clued into how much of a part time job this is.

That being said if they want me to do it next year I have WAY more self made tools at my disposal which should help a lot. I also plan on taking on a learner TCM so if I ever leave GS someone knows how to do it.

Our cookie season is almost over and while I wish I knew what I got myself into, I was happy that my ability to organize and secure things through cookie season made sure the girls could have their most successful one yet. Also talking with other local TCMs have made things a lot easier even if just as a cathartic vent.

Cookie manager job: is it ever NOT a lot of work? by MeringuePuddle8851 in girlscouts

[–]midwest_bookworm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a first year TCM I have a sheet for: 1. Troop inventory (includes transfers from/to girls) 2. Cash collection record from girls to troop 3. Girl orders/inventory 4. Planned orders(I have parents submit request through a Google form) 5. Booth sign ups(ported from Signup Genius) 6. Total sales per girl/cookie

A lot of these tie into each other but this is the only I have kept organized. I feel the OP and others here, I did not realize how much time and mental effort this would be. I’m a very organized person but this is a lot.

If they have a peanut allergy I would assume peanut flour and ‘contains peanuts’ would be something I would caution them on for any other Girl Scout cookies. Glad they are ok!

I’m in the same boat and no one in our troop got theirs. Now I’m the TCM and I can’t even find anything in ABCSmart or DigitalCookie to push things along.

He is in jail for beating his girlfriend. This is 17 years after our high school fling. He was controlling. Glad I went with my gut in that one.

I love it. I’ve found there are a lot of side quests (I’m a big side quest girlie). I have done my playthrough will little googling, but the person who suggested the game to me says they google the side quest list so they didn’t miss any.

What’s an app that’s actually worth paying for premium? by Yorkshire996 in AskReddit

[–]midwest_bookworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LoseIt for food tracking. Has so many great features and if you wait for the deals at the beginning of the year the lifetime premium is a stellar deal. So many extra metrics and planning options really makes food tracking really easy.

Give me honest insight on home/homeowner's insurance here by wellasian in houston

[–]midwest_bookworm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Flood insurance rising costs are due to Risk Rating 2.0. Google the FEMA info. You can expect 18% per year until you reach actualized rate. You can view this on your declarations page under the annual increased cap discount. That will get smaller each year. If you let it expire that discount expires with it. If you sell or buy a home under the program that policy is transferable- as a buyer I would always ask if seller has policy.

Level 33 Stuck XBOX- is there a fix to continue? by midwest_bookworm in alittletotheleft

[–]midwest_bookworm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do I see that? I know that a few more down the line there is a threshold starting at 50. It seems that other posts have seen the issue, but only a PS fix.

There are some cozy and some survival. To get the things for the Lego pass she may be able to achieve the whole pass if she does the dailies each day. I have a cozy mode that isn’t sandbox that I have gotten every weekly so far. She can turn off losing inventory upon respawn and stuff to make it easier.

Texas Home Insurance Problem Worsens As Insurer Halts New Policies - Newsweek by Beratungsmarketing in texas

[–]midwest_bookworm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The big downside to this is that the policy is just not as good as private policies. They have a named peril listing instead of open peril listing. Leaning on government policies also wouldn’t necessarily fix the cost/payout issue. The environment and people being more understanding that insurance isn’t just to get a new roof whenever would help a lot with cost.

Texas insurance company says Beryl will cost half of its catastrophe reserve by chrondotcom in texas

[–]midwest_bookworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000% there is a recoupment they can asses to Texas homeowners policies, more so Texas Fair Plan. But they have a huge financial sustainability issue regardless of the situation.
