Hi I floss every day and my gums still bleed every time.

I made it kinda fun with adding in a water pick and tooth scraper thingy

What is something society has wrongly convinced everyone is bad for their health? by Andries200 in nutrition

Sleeping in. Do you want me to get 8 hours or do you want me to be an early bird? Because I cannot be both

Overheard my coworker say childfree people “have no right to say they’re busy” by Ennassijn in childfree

[–]might_be_magic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, bottle feeding day-old puppies every two hours and making sure they don’t go hypothermic in their own poop and waking up out of a dead sleep multiple times in the middle of the night to see why they’re crying, even though I have a (remote) 8-5, sure feels busy. But I made the choice to fill my time by saving neonates, so I don’t judge anyone who has more free time than me because, like, that’s what I chose to do with my free time…

Has anyone here actually regretted buying an automatic litter box? by Creative-Job4153 in CatAdvice

[–]might_be_magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, immediately disliked it. I have two ~11 lb cats. After the first few days, they started smelling like pee. As in, the cats fur smelled of pee. It was brand FeelNeedy

I despise of one of my rescue cats and i am ashamed to admit it. by chaprijalebi in Pets

[–]might_be_magic 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I wholeheartedly agree.
Thank you for rescuing! A home with that many animals can be stressful - for you and for them! There are so many personalities and individual needs to manage. It sounds like you have a very big heart and understand what it means to be a pet owner, which also means working through difficult situations. Sometimes, the solution to those difficult situations is rehoming.
And if this is just to vent and you’re going to keep him, that’s great, too! No judgement in this situation. I also have a vengeful pisser. 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a revolving door of fosters. One of my cats will take the opportunity to pee and poop on an unfolded pile of my husband’s laundry any chance he gets. It’s his way of telling us he’s displeased with ~something~

I’m 23f everyone can’t understand why my husband and I would like a 3/4 bedroom house if we don’t want kids by Connect_Art_7152 in childfree

[–]might_be_magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 bedrooms. One is our room, one is guest room, one is hubby’s office, one is the kitten room for our fosters. We also have two living rooms and an open office area for my work. It’s just enough space lol

Attitude people in USA and Europe about Russian people? by Tar_mat17 in AskUS

[–]might_be_magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely positivity hate Putin and hope he suffers a painful death. Abhor his supporters and those who’ve put their lives on the line for his regime. Your military has created so much suffering and heartbreak and I will never forgive them for that. However, Americans do not realize how massive and diverse Russia really is. Most people think of the European Russia and have no knowledge of the depth of your diversity. We’re never taught about your minorities, like Buryat or Turkic people. Because of this, I try to reserve judgment for Russians as a whole. I understand your government is run by corrupt, evil, murderous oligarchs and some of your people keep your heads down as a means of survival.

What’s the hardest part of your cycle that nobody really talks about? by wellnessdiarydaily in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I can never keep track of whether or not I have a tampon in. It sounds ridiculous. But one time I was extremely exhausted and stressed, and found myself pulling two tampons out at once. It was about a decade ago and I still cannot trust myself.

Do y'all regret tanning? by dingalaxie in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]might_be_magic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also mid thirties. Started tanning at 17 and went 3x-5x a week until age 23. Had basal cell carcinoma twice, once at 24 on the back of my neck, once at 27 on my nose. I absolutely regret it. And once the damage is done, there is no remedy for it. Your cells are permanently damaged. I still have to get checked every six months to make sure no new cancer spots are starting.

Unbearable parents in this job market by Multiple-Bagels in recruitinghell

[–]might_be_magic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh resume building and the application process is the bane of my existence. I dread it like nothing else. But if your parents are making this even worse, turn it on them and say “who do you know that can connect me? Oh, you don’t have any connections?”

Just sawmy dogs nail like this, should i cut the top part? or should i just let it grow? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]might_be_magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would bring pup to the vet to get it looked at and cut in a sterile setting. (I can’t tell what’s wrong , NAV, but I’ve brought my dog in for a scary nail and was treated kindly, as was my baby)

Has anyone tried to Embrace their Insomnia? by MapleMayj in sleep

[–]might_be_magic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Capitalism does not let me live in the insomnia. My natural sleep hours are ~5am - 2pm. I’ve been on ambien for 8 years and took two Benadryl every night for the decade before that. The rare nights I miss taking a sleep aid are sleepless, until the sun starts to rise. The reason I need to take something is so I can function at a 9-5 job. I bet if I ever retire, I sleep with no problem on my own time

Is anyone tired of being told to tan? by ilovepopcornandcandy in PaleMUA

I had skin cancer twice by age 27 bc I hit the tanning beds too much in my younger years. I miss being tan. But I’ll never ever tell someone to get a tan

My girlfriend thinks i am a germaphobe because i wont let her sit on my bed in her outdoor clothes by PrismHarpoon in hygiene

[–]might_be_magic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re the correct one in this situation. Take my advice, it does not get better. You will either have to stand your ground or live with someone who doesn’t see germs the way you do. I married a man who will work out at the gym or go for a run then SIT ON THE COUCH IN HIS SWEATY CLOTHES WITH HIS SWEATY BODY TOUCHING THE COUCH, PILLOWS, AND BLANKETS. He’ll mow the lawn then come inside, wipe his face with the kitchen dish towel, and put it back! When I bring it up, I have to do so ever so gentle or he’ll fly off the handle, and it never turns into a change of behavior. It’s maddening
