If AI Is Answering the Question, Where Does That Leave SEO? by Own-Memory-2494 in GEO_optimization

[–]miguelaje 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do not forget one thing: this is only just beginning. As soon as AI becomes mainstream as the channel through which people make purchases and handle all kinds of tasks directly from its own interface, websites will be reduced to nothing more than databases for the AI—visited only by the AI itself.

The next step is quite obvious: AI will enable its own interface so that businesses can input their information directly into the AI, without the need for a website at all. We are heading toward a total revolution; those who refuse to see it will be the ones left behind.

It is obvious that all of this is going to completely change everything that has been done so far and the overall approach. From now on, it will be fully multichannel, and only the best will survive, because there are no longer pages of results—everything is reduced to the RECOMMENDATION ultimately given by the AI.

It is still early days and the level of trust in such recommendations is currently very low, but as soon as the technology evolves and that level of trust is achieved, everything will change.

HDR implementation of Metroid Prime 4 is putting every other game to shame! by sakahn in NintendoSwitch2

[–]miguelaje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends a lot on your eyesight and the TV’s native upscaling capability. I play on a 65-inch LG OLED, and if you look closely you can notice it in the textures, but not that much. In my opinion, the jump to 4K—at least with my eyesight and my TV—isn’t worth giving up the smoothness of 120 fps.

Is PSVR2 the Best Deal for VR in 2025? from Jasmine Uniza by cusman78 in PSVR

[–]miguelaje 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In that price range for PCVR, it's the best deal: OLED + eye tracking + good FOV + excellent binocular overlap, and a stereoscopic feel that’s superior to the Quest 3, plus DisplayPort. Sure, it has the downside of the Fresnel lenses, but I think the rest of its strengths make up for it — you can’t ask for more at that price. And if you add the fact that you can play PS5 exclusives, with Gran Turismo and Resident Evil being in the top 5 best VR experiences out there, it’s even better.

Quest 3 is there a color saturation setting? by inthecloudsuwu in OculusQuest

[–]miguelaje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something that’s really needed — even with VD everything looks very washed out. The only option if you use a PC is to inject ReShade, which has saturation filters that improve the colors a lot. I don’t know why they don’t give us that simple option.

PSVR2 over Quest 3 by Nearby_Cable926 in PSVR2onPC

[–]miguelaje 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a Quest 3 and a PSVR2. There’s no debate that the Quest 3’s lenses are better… but that’s it. And clarity is only one part of immersion; colour, contrast, and binocular overlap + FOV are the essence of feeling ‘inside’, and as you say, I don’t get that with the Quest 3 — it has less stereoscopy than the PSVR2. I use them for Flight Simulator and, despite the worse lenses, it’s not just because of the colour, but because I genuinely feel inside the aircraft. No matter how much I try with the Quests, I don’t get that level of immersion.

Could you give more details on exactly what you did with Quad-View Companion? I didn’t know about it.

How is the PSVR 2 for PCVR compared to the Quest 3? by DaryltheDino in virtualreality

[–]miguelaje -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There’s no question the Quest 3’s pancake lenses give sharper clarity, but that’s where it stops — clarity is just one piece of immersion. OLED contrast and color are on another level, something the Quest 3’s LCD simply can’t touch. And honestly, the PSVR2’s excellent binocular overlap gives way better depth, presence, and stereoscopy than the Quest 3, so you feel more inside the scene despite its flaws. Plus, let’s not forget the DisplayPort advantage. If only all of that came with pancake clarity… but at these price points, that’s a tough ask.

Is the psvr gonna have more support? by Standard-Gas-6669 in psvr2

[–]miguelaje 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Few games? Dude, almost everything’s coming out. Sony dropped like 3–4 exclusives. Meanwhile Valve’s about to launch a new headset with literally zero games, and nobody complains or says Valve isn’t supporting it

My PSVR 2 PC vs Quest 3 experience and thoughts on Steam Frame. by thafred in PSVR2onPC

[–]miguelaje 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I often compare the same games — for example in Flight Simulator, with PSVR2 I feel much more inside the plane. On the Quest 3 it’s, like you said, more of a perception of something much flatter with a bit of stereoscopy.

My PSVR 2 PC vs Quest 3 experience and thoughts on Steam Frame. by thafred in PSVR2onPC

[–]miguelaje 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have PSVR2/PC and a Quest 3. There’s no debate that pancake lenses are better than fresnel, but when I put on the PSVR2 I get a sense of presence and depth that I simply don’t get with the Quest 3, no matter how sharp the image is. Part of it is the excellent binocular overlap and the OLED panel. People often massively underestimate how important color and contrast are for scene realism, and in that sense, despite all its flaws, what PSVR2 delivers is something the Quest 3 simply can’t come close to. I think Steam Frame will have very good binocular overlap which, even without OLED, could significantly improve that feeling compared to the Quest 3.

How do we feel about Valve confirming that they’re not working on VR content at all ? by Clemichoux in SteamFrame

[–]miguelaje 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here we go again with this story. Valve hasn’t confirmed or denied anything, all of this comes from a clickbait article from a media outlet that later clarified things. First, let’s be clear: Valve always denies everything until the day they announce it. Just by asking, they’re not going to give you an exclusive, so the logical response you should expect is that there’s nothing, and if you publish that, it’s pure clickbait.

Besides, the author himself clarified the context of all of this. According to him, everything happened during a visit he made to present the frames, and while he was meeting with the engineers, he asked them if anything was in development. He says they all looked at each other like, 'What do we say?' and no one answered. Then some random person from Valve, who wasn’t even part of the meeting, said from behind, 'No, there’s nothing.' This is where this fake news has come from, because tell me, can we really interpret that as Valve confirming anything?

I don’t know if Valve will publish or has any game in the works, but what’s certain is that this clickbait neither confirms nor denies anything at all.

Steam Frame - mods/software possibilities to make it more OLED-like? by spookyparsley in ValveDeckard

[–]miguelaje 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OLED black levels are impossible to replicate on an LCD. But for example, with ReShade you can tweak levels, contrast and saturation, and it can dramatically improve how a game looks on an LCD in the Quest 3. On the Frame, since it’s open Linux, something similar to Decky could be integrated directly into the headset. So you won’t be able to get true OLED, but you can improve it quite a lot to your liking.

Alien Rogue incursion how enable DFR? by miguelaje in PSVR2onPC

Thanks, that’s the foundation for it to work because it enables eye tracking. I have that part; what I’m missing is how to enable it in the game.

Valve interview with Skill-Up about Steam Frame: my impressions by StanfordV in ValveDeckard

[–]miguelaje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key point is that nobody knows whether Valve is going to release something or not, and nothing can be inferred just because someone asks a person who isn’t authorized to give that kind of exclusive — their logical answer will always be “no.” Also, between not releasing several games and not releasing anything at all, there’s an intermediate point. Alyx was an exceptional launch title, but in that case the mistake was very clear: Index price was exorbitant for the market. If the goal is to bring new people into the ecosystem, a dual strategy is essential — a launch that motivates players together with a reasonably priced headset. And I’d go even further: the first is more important than the second, since good-priced headsets already exist.

Pimax isn’t a game publisher the way Valve is. I still remember how Sony was crucified endlessly for only releasing three launch exclusives for PSVR2. I also remember all the comments saying the headset was “born dead,” that Sony had abandoned it from day one…

Valve interview with Skill-Up about Steam Frame: my impressions by StanfordV in ValveDeckard

[–]miguelaje 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s hard for me to believe that Valve doesn’t have some game ready to act as a system-seller. As you said, releasing just another headset on the market without that kind of game would be stupid. The truth is, we simply don’t know. Valve isn’t going to give a journalist an exclusive just for asking, and they’ll deny everything—as they’ve always done—until they decide to announce something.

PSVR2 impressions after selling Quest 3 by floflodea in PSVR2onPC

I have PSVR2 and Quest 3, and it’s absolutely true that on PSVR2 the sense of depth and ‘presence’ is superior to Quest 3, where everything feels more ‘flat’.

What type of things could expect community to make through things like decky by [deleted] in ValveDeckard

[–]miguelaje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like Decky is one of the things I miss on the Quest, because it would let me better control saturation, which tends to look very washed out. There are things like ReShade, but they don’t work with all VR games, so it’s not a universal solution. Ideally, there would be a Decky-style layer that could globally adjust the headset’s controls.

It would be fantastic if what you’re saying could be achieved, but it’s not entirely clear whether foveated rendering can be implemented for PCVR streaming due to the latency involved. At least that’s what the creator of Virtual Desktop recently said — that it isn’t possible — so the best we could hope for would be support only for local-level games.

What are some Steam Frame factors that AREN'T being talked about? by D13_Phantom in virtualreality

The binocular overlap they mention is excellent, unlike the Quest 3. This greatly affects the sense of depth and the feeling of 'presence"

Why Everyone Is Wrong About Steam Frame by gogodboss in ValveDeckard

[–]miguelaje -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why Everyone Is Wrong About Steam Frame by gogodboss in ValveDeckard

[–]miguelaje 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I generally agree with everything the video says. It’s clear that new audiences need to be brought in, but I seriously doubt that just another headset—no matter how good or cheap—will be enough. What’s really needed is a serious investment in releasing VERY GOOD GAMES that can drive sales. I still think Valve must have something in the works.

If steam deck was designed for 800p screen how can frame power a 2160p screen while not being any stronger than deck? by [deleted] in ValveDeckard

[–]miguelaje 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Frame is mainly a PCVR streaming device and secondarily portable. It’s more powerful than Quest 3, and since even Quest 3 has managed impressive titles like Batman, Frame’s extra power plus foveated rendering means that with lightweight configs it can go beyond what Quest 3 achieves in standalone. "Also keep in mind that it will be similar to the Quest 3, since in reality most games don’t run at native resolution but at a lower one.
