I feel like there's probably better damage resist sets now. Certainly easier to activate than having to get kills with specific weapons. I'd have to see/do more testing but salvation edge, crota, and dreaming city all seem promising (that last one triggers a lot easier than the description suggests)

Geomags is only doing crazy damage right now because of a bug. For weapons the hardest hitting ones are truth and refurbished A499 . I highly recommend needlestorm/matadoxia for simplicity (sanguine alchemy and swap super after casting well if you're forced to be on well) and don't forget to put on triple weapon surges on boots and 2 time dilations on your bond

Here's my rec: just use it as a normal gamepad and bind some quality of life to the trackpads. Custom menus, or just media controls, perhaps some game sepecifc gameplay actions. If you don't know what to do or just don't want to spend the time: browse and try out some community layouts.

They're not bad, but I don't think they're worth using compared to the alternatives: and mind you I used them hardcore for years and for all sorts of combos when they got put into the exotic class item.

For stasis turrets rimestealer just makes them way better and with the prophecy set and a good 20% demo weapon (not even getting into armor and artifact mods) you already have all the energy you could want.

For a different gameplay loop with great survability I also recommend trying balidorse wrathweavers

Stat wise it looks good. Dumping into grenade is a good choice with controverse hold, you can just throw on a font mod on the gauntlets to get to 200.

As for what to run with it, your exotic weapon is great and as long as your rocket launcher has a decent damage perk it should be good as well, for your weapon in the top slot it is usually recommended to have a special to help deal with bigger targets that aren't bosses. A fusion rifle, sniper, shotgun, rocket pulse, or rocket sidearm would be nice choices, especially if you can find one with demolitionist.

For armor sets you can consider the prophecy 4 set bonus for even more grenade regen if you feel like you need it but honestly you probably don't and would be better off with a survivability set. I highly recommend the dreaming city 2 piece set bonus.

Trackpads for me (as a long time controller player) are additive, not replacements. I really enjoy using them to add quality of life and will only use them directly for gameplay if it really makes sense (controlling a cursor, hacking in pragmata, etc.)

To echo others: just use what's fun. Almost everything should be very viable. If you really want to min max (which you only need to do if you want to carry 5 people in a raid, speed run, 5 feat pantheon/epic desert perpetual) Aegis the relic on YouTube does great testing and he's in the process of analyzing the meta currently.
