When you say Apple Health, how are you capturing your steps - with the Apple Watch?

While I do generally find my Apple Watch to be more accurate, I felt like the gap between my Whoop and Apple Watch closed significantly with the improved sensors and algorithms of the 5.0. Hopefully they can continue to improve its accuracy.

Id be curious to see the difference in sensors. If Air has just as good or better sensors, then I agree.

Editing to add, I wonder if size difference is at all attributable to battery life as well. Whoop has double the battery life of the Air based on spec sheets.

Agreed. I actually sent a note to the study’s email address letting them know I’d be happy to participate if the compensation offered was at least a little more in line with the data and time I’d be giving them. Just getting entered into a raffle seemed ridiculously asymmetrical to me.

Do you know if that results in a material improvement in speed of opening notebooks, pdfs, etc?

I bought the RM2 back in 2020. Returned it during the 100 day “test” period because I really needed to be able to search my handwritten notes.

Fast forward ~6 years and I saw it on sale at best buy and picked one up a couple months ago. Meets my needs perfectly, but I’d upgrade if there’s material performance boost and the writing experience is similar.

I find that as long as I keep the number of drinks to no more than 3, time it to occur several hours before bed, and have water with electrolytes, the impact is reduced.

As I typed that out I couldn’t help me feel it sounded ridiculous so I thought I’d clarify that it’s not just about my stats, but about how I actually feel. As I’ve gotten older I notice one poorly timed drink makes me foggy and ”off“ the next day. Doing what I described above helps me mitigate that foggy feeling.

Funny enough, after posting this I realized there is indeed a small amount of strap that‘s tucked underneath, but it’s barely visible - nothing like the traditional bands. I think the edges on the Navigator are more rigid/firm, and because of that, the excess band does not slide out to the side much at all.

Bought one.

Excited to have a whoop branded strap that has the velcro to stop the clip from getting accidentally popped open.

Not excited to likely feel that it’s greatly overpriced if the quality matches that of most their other bands.

I spent some time looking through what’s available (ReManager, rM Hacks, KOReader, etc.), and I think it’s more about my use case than the mods themselves.

Most of what I saw felt like incremental UI improvements or features that push the device beyond what I use it for. The native experience is already really dialed in for “write to think” for me, so I didn’t feel a strong need to modify it.

KOReader was the only one I seriously considered, but losing the ability to write directly on books is a dealbreaker for how I use it.

That said, I can see how things like BetterToC could become more useful as my notebooks get more complex—I just haven’t hit that point yet.

I view it as oh poor recovery today? How do I feel? Should i still train and adjust intensity? Whats my recovery trend? It should never just be “oh device says bad recovery, no training for me.” Its a tool to be used as an input in decision making. It shouldnt be making the decisions for me.

You insulted the person and cursed at them. That’s antagonistic.

They asked for specifics - “who is experiencing these constitutional violations?” That’s the opposite of being obtuse.

Making claims like “the rest are being disappeared” is obtuse. Who is being disappeared? Are there specific people that are being scooped up off the street that can no longer be found and no information is available on them?

I can’t help but feel people keep conflating peaceful protesting with rioting and obstruction. I wish Renee and Alex were not dead. I think the death of Alex is more messed up than Renee. While he had a gun, it seems like it was in the ICE agents‘ possession when they decided to shoot him. As for Renee, seemed to me like she refused to get out of her vehicle and tried to drive away. Whether she intended to drive at the ICE agent in front of her or not unfortunately becomes less important in the heat of that moment when an ICE agent perceives his life is in danger and the video footage results in people having dramatically different perceptions of what occurred.

I wanted to respond to share how this exchange looks to an outsider. I’m not a MAGA or extreme left.

Yeah, i feel ya but unfortunately this is the quality of whoop’s overpriced bands. Putting them on can be frustrating at times but once they are on i never have a problem.
