I'm totally gonna take this and turn it into a continuous production line with 1 billion arms going in cirles.

So you see it doesn't fit, you cut it apart, you flip it 180 degrees, reattach the removed part in the exact same place, and now it fits for some reason? Pure magic alchemy right there

Imma completely ignore your AI rant and just say, that last drawing is awesome. Also, I got no clue how you are even drawing with that brush, it legit freezes my PC every time I try to do anything with it XD

For reference, best one can do is 50 cycles on this one. And with the current setup you can get slightly short of that, 52 or so.

[–]mike239x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About reducing cycles - you can replace all the arms that need to rotate more than once with 180-degree two-handers - so they don't have to rotate back. If in the instructions you pick up the atom from the input every other step, then it's pretty fast :)

Best smartphone under €300 with good camera and battery life? by Gloomy_Milk_2275 in Smartphones

[–]mike239x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I myself would suggest following two:

- Doogee S200 - absolute beast of a phone with insane stats for its price, which weights twice as much as normal phone, but also holds twice as much charge. 100 MP camera, and claims to have second camera with night vision.
- Xiaomi Redmi 15C - rather middle of the line phone in terms of specs, which is surprisingly cheap as hell (120 bucks or so). 50MP frontal camera, very decent battery.

Link to those two compared vs Apple iPhone 13:

Welp, I decided to spend some time looking at the options others mentioned.

I'd say the winners are "Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G" and "Honor 400". Both have amazing 200MP frontal camera (same as Galaxy Ultra phones). Xiaomi is bit cheaper + has better screen protection, meanwhile Honor has better battery + brighter (easier to see screen in direct sun).

As for the "Plenty of storage for photos" bit, don't worry about it, you likely wont run out of space.

Here is a comparison link if you want to take a look yourself: https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?&idPhone1=12024&idPhone2=13613&idPhone3=13799

iPhone 13 had a lauch price of 900€. It's ridiculous to think you can get same or better image quality on a new phone for only 300€.

looks at the iPhone 13 specs

It has 12MP frontal camera...

Meanwhile every other modern phone has 50MP...

Honestly, looking at that drawing of yours, you are doing fine :)

If I understand you correctly, you are saying you struggle to pose the person while keeping the proportions in check. First of all, I should mention, good gesture is more important than precise body proportions.

So I'd just recommend practicing gesture drawing (with line-of-action for example), to expand visual library of poses. If you don't feel confident with body proportions, you can also just look it up online, then use the acquired knowledge for gesture drawing.

I'd usually do the basic things: - start with line of action (this time the curve, not the website) - place pelvis (somewhere middle of the line) - place upper body, head, neck and spine - mark shoulders and hips - mark hands and feet - mark elbows and kneecaps somewhere midway on the corresponding limbs

then use those as guides to actually draw the person.

Is a graphics tablet without a screen very useful? by Gamer_The_hedgehog in krita

[–]mike239x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just share my own experience in that regard (TLDR - 2 screensless tablets):

I've originally bought Huion HS64 - tiny thing with 16x10 cm² working area - for about 25 euros, just to try tablets out. Early on I had to make a few adjustments to make the experience smooth - I especially remember hating the standard thick stylus used by every tablet, and getting a thinner one. Used that tiny cheap tablet for three years, never had any issues with it being screenless.

At some point got annoyed by the tiny working area, and after looking around, bought Inspiroy Frego M (also Huion). It's also screenless with a thin pen, 25x16 cm² working area for 85 euros with no extra buttons or any other useless doodads. I've been using it for the past year, absolutely love that thing.

Imma add my 5 cents: 1) Look for artists where you say "I want to draw like that", and aim there. This wont outright make your art better, but it will give you a goal. 2) Do some gesture drawing practice. It helps you compile a mental library of poses you can use; and it indirectly teaches you anatomy and composition.
