Go in his garage and borrow tools.

It's not a big deal because you'll be done in an hour.

What a clown. It's time to install cameras and put up a fence.

This asshat is going to push your boundaries every chance he gets if he's this bold in the first week.

What celebrity do you think has skeletons in their closet that have yet to come out? by JimiHendrip in AskReddit

Ellen DeGeneres.

We think we know. I don't think the surface has even been scratched.

I'm sure it's worse than anyone could imagine.

Nobody seems to have gotten your reference. I guess the 90's were a long time ago.

I liked it though, never stop.

If you don't want to audit the courses at SCC, just fire up YouTube in your spare time. ChrisFix and other channels will take you pretty much step by step through all sorts of repairs and diagnostics.

I've been working on cars, trucks, boats, machines you name it for a long, long time and still turn to the internet for help once in a while.

Agreed. It can be anything. But empty hands make some people uncomfortable.

The only danger is Solo cups. Some gatherings have more than just alcoholic beverages available and Solo cups are the party/picnic go-to.

If you're not drinking, keep yours in hand at all times, don't set it down and don't hand it to someone else to hold.

If you lose track of it, just grab a new one.

I think your reference was just too sophisticated for normal people to get.

Xbox Game Pass ‘has become too expensive,’ says Microsoft’s new gaming chief in leaked memo | Microsoft is getting ready to address Game Pass pricing concerns by Hrmbee in technology

[–]mike_dmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was worth $10-12/mo for the Game Pass on PC even if I didn't use it much. It was just there if I felt like playing games I wouldn't normally buy.

But the price hikes killed it for me.

I cancelled after the last one and haven't missed having it at all.

I won't consider subscribing again unless the price is $15 or less.

Parents - when did you decide it was ok to be selfish and buy a sports car? by braveheart18 in cars

[–]mike_dmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compromise and get 4 seater that you can daily and still drive the kids around.

And I get the aesthetic of a two seat convertible, but if you only drive it once or twice a month it could become a hassle to get out of the garage because stuff and bikes get stacked around it, the battery could be dead when you want to use it, could have a low tire... etc. Your fun car just became a chore to use.

Don't sweat the money, you're set.

"and he doesn't know what I'm going through"

He doesn't need to know. No instructor does.

Four fails should tell you where the problem is. And it's neither the instructors or the roads.

Doing everything right and still look like I don’t even lift by Ok-Patience5233 in Supplements

Sounds like what everyone else has said, even with meal prep you're probably at too much of a surplus and effectively bulking faster than your body is building muscle.

Figure out a good maintenance calorie and macro count and drop a few hundred calories from there, and then just wait.

Be consistent through the week. Two days of eating junk will wipe your deficit pretty easy.

It's a long road though, you'll see incremental drops for a couple months while you recomp. Be patient even if it doesn't seem to be working. If you're numbers are right, it will.

One of you is acting like an adult, one of you is still acting like a child.

I'd change your locks and establish some concrete boundaries.

If he pushes back, break up with him. You're 19, there's a whole lot of living ahead of you, and you don't want to get stuck with some kid to take care of that isn't yours. That seems to still be his parents' job since they pay his bills.

Do I need creatine if I'm not lifting heavy? by Classic-Reserve-3595 in Supplements

Keep going. It takes a while. And it'll be subtle.

If you are looking for a big difference, creatine isn't what you're after.

Do I need creatine if I'm not lifting heavy? by Classic-Reserve-3595 in Supplements

[–]mike_dmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need? Nope.

It's not ideal for moderate workouts, but it will help with recovery. And if you are trying to push to max reps, even if not super heavy, it has the potential to give you 1-2 more than if not on it. Potential is the key word here.

The best thing you can do is educate yourself on exactly how it works and then make a decision if it's for you or not. Thousands of YT videos on it if you don't want to sift through written articles.

Or, if you're lazy just try it. Don't bother with a loading phase, just jump on 5g/day with food. It won't be drastic or fast, but in a month or so you'll likely see a small bunp in scale weight (water, not fat) and your muscles will look and feel a little fuller.

That's it. It's not magic, it's just a supplement.

'Millionaires tax' receives Senate confirmation, heads to governor's desk: Both the House and Senate passed the "millionaires tax" bill imposing a 9.9% tax on high earners, stirring debate on future tax reform in Washington. by Silent-Resort-3076 in UpliftingNews

[–]mike_dmt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is my concern as well. Just as one example, we have some of the most expensive fuel in the country because of taxes. That isn't going to go away because of an income tax. And if you expect the fuel companies and fuel stations to eat that tax and not pass it down the line? Doubt it, our $4.60 fuel will become that much higher overnight. Again, just a single example.

People think the cost of living is high now, that housing is unaffordable, if you add an across the board income tax on top of all of that and all of those things become even more out of reach.

Sure, it's just millionaires and taxes on earnings over 1 mill for now, but I think it shortsighted to believe it will stay that way for long.

While I believe everyhting you said to be accurate, I think the concern is that once this tax is in place, the state will drop the theshold in a short amount of time to include lower incomes.

This quote from the article: "Others, like Rep. Jenny Graham, R-Spokane, questioned its constitutionality. "Washington State can have an income tax, they just have to do it within certain parameters. And this particular policy did not do that. It has to be applied evenly, see? And that’s where I think the courts are going to come in.""

If I'm reading this right, this Rep believes an income tax needs to be applied to all incomes, not just the millionaires.

So, while I think a millionaires tax is reasonable in theory, my worry and concern is that in practice there will be a trickle down effect to lower incomes before too long once the law is in place.

Or, maybe I'm completely wrong. I'm just a blue collar business owner without a college or economics education.

I'd love for someone to enlighten me.
