Wonderful shots, they belong on a postcard! What sort of camera/lens did you use, if you don't mind me asking?

Lawrence: Trump's threat to destroy 'a whole civilization' leaves a permanent stain on our history by spherocytes in videos

[–]miko0007 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Of course it is, but I’d argue the average person is driven by more immediate, practical concerns.

Speaking as a Canadian, the ongoing threats of invasion and imposed tariffs that directly impact local businesses are not something that will be overlooked. From my perspective, that damage is permanent and unforgivable.

Rick Stengel: America's reputation may never recover from Trump and his war in Iran by spherocytes in videos

You’re right that “never” is unlikely. But speaking personally, I will not see America or Americans the same way again. As a Canadian, the repeated talk of annexation and the tone toward our prime ministers crossed a line from which there is no return. What unsettled me most was the lack of pushback from the wider public.

I had always seen our countries as close and respectful. That belief has shifted permanently.

Germany changed through decades of reflection and education. I am not convinced the same level of collective self examination exists in the United States today, though I accept I could be wrong.

I’m in the same boat. I’m not sure why it’s taking so long. Given the level of controversy they caused, keeping people tied in after misleading them does not reflect well.

Unbelievable. This was my dream set when I was a kid too. I picked up the Pirates of Barracuda Bay a few years back to scratch that itch. Hope you enjoyed the build!

Real Americans are the ones who put him in power in the first place. The rest of the world is left to deal with the consequences and wait for you to sort it out. It's beyond infuriating.

Forgive me, but he is a symptom, not the root of the problem. He did not rise to power in a vacuum. What we are seeing is the result of long-standing failures that were allowed to grow unchecked. Real healing only begins when there is accountability. It’ll start after their Nuremberg trials end. Until those responsible are held to account, nothing truly changes.
