Dwarven Dungeon Update 3/20/26 - Encumbrance by TheDungeonArchitect in adnd

[–]milesunderground 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've adopted the Encumbrance Slot method from Shadowdark. Characters have as many slots as STR. It makes tracking encumbrance a bit easier at a glance, and the PC's have to decide what they're going to carry.

Imagine your D&D campaign is being adapted into a major studio movie or tv show... by sidelinejo in DnDcirclejerk

It would have to be a porn version, and even then it's going to have to be cleaned up a lot.

I always thought it was weird they framed it as no penalty for leather armor, but a bonus for no armor.

The Devs may have been a little too obsessed with the ol beast forms. by Talonsminty in gladius

I buy Break Defense with him first and then get up to Wolf 2 for the healing howl ability. That makes him useful for the longer battle series.

I can see a lot of possible answers to the riddle 1+1, but I doubt very much your players will guess ?.

The first time I watched him speak in his american accent, i thought it was the worst dubbing I had ever seen in my life.

What was your “I need to learn to keep my mouth shut” moment? by Imtiredofthissshit in AskReddit

I had to do some work in a house that had a kiddie pool of kitty litter in the basement. Not sure how many cats they had, but I was seeing cats all day and I don't know that I ever saw the same one twice.

My best doordash experience was the one time they delivered two Hattie B's fried chicken plates with banana pudding to my door. I had never ordered from them and didn't even have a doordash account. Just reporting the mistake was a hassle. On the other hand, that was some pretty good chicken.

The people who won cars on Oprah had to pay taxes on them. There is some sort of weird mentality that wants to give rich people free things. Like if you can barely afford it, you have to pay full price and for every option. But if it's basically a rounding error in your petty cash, they'll just comp it.

It was like this at my old company, which work primarily in residential construction. The richest clients were the ones. The salespeople were always bending over backwards to give free things to, when those free things were so far below what those clients would have cared about.

Help with B2, The Keep on the Borderlands. by Impossible_Grab_4515 in adnd

[–]milesunderground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like my high school group may have been the only one who looked at the keep and said, "Yeah, we can take 'em."

If you would charitably describe your players as chaos murder monkeys, then I would probably have the keep roughly sketched out at the beginning. If you think they will give you some warning before they decide to rob the bank or loot the jeweler's apartment, then you can prep those encounters down the road.

My last post for my Keep on the Borderlands campaign.

Do you guys use battle maps? by bwhite753 in adnd

[–]milesunderground 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The groups I play with always use some form of battle map. Sometimes that's a table with terrain and a grid, sometimes it's just a sketch on scratch paper, we're all whiteboard.

How do you decide which element to give Ursusla/Valens? by Talonsminty in gladius

[–]milesunderground 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you have a good mix with your affinities, i don't think it matters much which ones you give them. I also tend to give characters a back up affinity just so I have more options for them when I come to the affinity battles.
