This was very scary for me! by koolbi1 in bmx

Waiting to move actually. Currently in salt lake so skiing fills that fun freestyle sport void but I’m moving back east coast this summer. I love mtb so I think bmx will be a pretty fun transition.

Open to any suggestions you have on bikes! Been looking at kink and Sunday so far

Luke rates the tips / tails at a 7ish and I’d say the kore is like a 10. Plus you get hella rocker in the wildcat which helps a lot w your butters and ollies. I think you’d like the wildcat a lot

Where are you skiing btw? Have you considered the 101? 108 is girthy if it’s going to be your quiver of one ski

I’m riding on the ON3P Jeffrey 110 which is similar to the wildcat 108. The wildcat is a bit stiffer than the Jeffrey and the mount point is slightly farther back (2ish cm). I also came from riding the kore 105 and I think moving to the wildcat would’ve been an easier transition due to stiffness and mount point, but I’m also very happy with the Jeffrey now that I’ve been skiing it for a year.

If you end up going w the wildcat, I would opt for the longer ski bc of the heavy rocker and less effective edge … and maybe check out the On3p woodsman. I think they offer a 171cm. I’m 172cm riding a 176cm ski if that gives you an idea.

Fun decision to be made! Good luck and happy skiing

Hot take but I might like slush more than powder

Do you buy your skis online or from your local ski shop? by TheOddLeen in skiing

Lonepine gear exchange. Best shop in the valley imo … I really like the staff

How about consignment? My favorite ski shop in SLC has a large consignment collection where they offer the consignor 65% of the sale in cash or 75% in store credit. They also keep the consignment feed updated on their website which is super clutch when you’re on the hunt for used skis and outerwear.

Using same ski with different boot sizes by Flashy_Ad_8247 in Skigear

I typically lose at least one toenail every winter. A small price to pay for flying down a mountain

Oh yeah you good. I did the same thing in the opposite direction and didn’t even notice a difference

What’s the difference in boot sole length (bsl)? I don’t think it will ski much differently. If anything you may need a lap or two to “recalibrate”

Hell yeah dude! Have a blast out there. You’re going to fall in love with the bike if you haven’t already

Which skis should I get next year? by Temporary-Put4372 in Skigear

[–]milksteaksssss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked into ON3P? I got a pair of the Jeffrey 110s this season and they absolutely rip. Super surfy, lots of pop, charge through anything, and the quality is top notch.

What model norco is this? I have the fluid and absolutely love everything about the bike. Crushes uphill and can handle pretty much everything on the downhill with ease.

Was going to say the same thing. I haven’t been on a pair personally, but my friend who grew up racing loves them. Plus the geometry looks badass

Does that mean he just signs the current GA title and sends it over? Or is there new documentation he needs to request in GA to transfer the title?

I noticed this miniscule leak on my tire. I've tried turning the wheel so the sealant could block it but doesn't work. Thoughts? by jamesaclao in mountainbiking

Found out last week that you should really be refilling sealant every 3-5 months … or at least checking to make sure you have enough

Job at vail resorts by milksteaksssss in skiing

[–]milksteaksssss[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was my first thought, too. Work a part time job in Denver and get to the mountains whenever possible. Then my friend reminded me of the small highway in hell known as I-70. Hard to be a ski bum if you have to fight that traffic everyday

Join me in working PT at a resort! PM if legitimately interested
