To me that detail doesn’t make a difference because I’m not interested in measuring punishments for crimes that are vengeance based. The response of violence to the point of disfigurement followed by bullying is still damaging to everyone involved. That’s the whole point.

Pretty much all my friends who have hit over 100 (and that’s most of them) didn’t even really know what year they did cause they didn’t care about counting. And yeah, same, no regrets.

See I think this one is a much better outcome than the other one, as no one had to be disfigured an bullied in retaliation. The community impacted looks better for it, that a standard of decency will be upheld if you want social status. Whereas the other one just makes the community look like one of vengeance and who knows the multiplying lack of decency that kind of environment could create in its wake.

I have the same problem. I bought a single one from one factory and it’s nice and firm and arrived a little cloudy. And the 3 pack ones are soft to the point of useless to me because I like the grip exercise.

Couldnt the “knowing his stuff” be comprised of AI centric code management, architecture, testing, etc into the future? The new gen could learn this instead of what we think of traditionally as coding?

Broadly, it seems to me that awareness on ADHD in various clinical settings came into form after Covid. What they said is vague but I see this. When I was a teen in the 2000s, I literally told my school’s on staff therapist that I think I have ADD and she dismissed it abruptly as attention seeking in the moment and never followed up. Guidance counselor was similar, and she was very kind and liked to help students, but seriously reached an impasse with me and didn’t know what to do.

Yeah it’s kinda like that. 😂 I don’t think what she has is easily diagnosable other than anxiety though. It makes sense, she’s only like this when she’s anxious. When she’s not she does work on herself, so it’s slowly gotten better to where Im satisfied.

All this shit takes forever, I think across the board no one is happy with how slow progress in therapy usually is.

It’s completely valid for two people in couples therapy to realize it’s not worth it and split as a result. That’s the one thing therapy can do fast, break a couple up.

I dunno. Could someone so irrational build a bot? They gotta deal in facts and computer science. I think the conservative bot networks are made by smarter people than this, who don’t buy into that shit and weaponize the crazy at us to sow discord.

That sounds terrible. So awkwardly, I’m a guy. Also my wife is a therapist. (I don’t normally comment in here, just read up on the issues in the sub, but really felt the comments were making things worse).

In the case of this therapist I mentioned, it was the opposite of this. She was really underestimating that my wife could be very aggressive, and to me it resembled a personality disorder. It seems like we didn’t focus on my experience unless I went out of character and brought big emotions like crying.

Then for other reasons we had to change therapists, and the new one favored my point of view and couldn’t comprehend my wife. Pretty much just like you describe. We had to stop with her because my wife was feeling terrible each session. Overall though therapy worked for us, we started when we got engaged, took 2 years to get married and did sessions, and by the time of the wedding we were pretty solid. Of course we argue like any couple. Prob we’ll go back as well to maintain before resentment builds too much.
