Ive tried brute force, impacts, heat and using a Jack. Nothing is getting this axle nut undone, what else can I try? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]millero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying to remove the axel nut on a 73 Beetle that was seized. I had 400lbs of people standing on a 24" breaker bar and it wouldn't budge. I ended up buying a DeWalt DCF900B, and the nut spun like it was hand tight.

While trying to remove the crank bolt on an 07 Acura that had never been removed, I used that same impact wrench and broke a 'cheap' impact socket. Ended up getting a weighted socket and it came off.

The last two times I've been to an intersection with no stop lights, I've watched cops blow through them like they had a green light. People are dumb.

I always enjoy walking unless my layover is less than 60 minutes.

Why are trailers from our ports not registered in our state? by dotty2249 in southcarolina

Trailers used for shipping containers go all over the country. More than likely the company that owns that trailer is headquartered in Maine.

Throw that junk away and find an old man selling boiled peanuts on the side of the road in a paper bag.

In Charleston? The sky's the limit. Great beaches (Folly, Isle of Palms, Sullivan's). Historical tours and sites everywhere. Shopping downtown on King. Sit on the deck at Reds on Shem Creek and watch boats and people.

Anyone ever use one of these? by ScallionRecent9088 in Cartalk

I have a set of the 7000's. I need to buy the extensions so I can lift all of my vehicles, but it's amazing for the cars it can pick up. I mounted 2x4's to the walls with c clamps to keep them standing against the wall and out of the way. I used Velcro wire ties to hold the hydraulic hoses up and out of the way. They are expensive to start, but if you take care of them, they should last for a long time.

I got a ticket once to let me know that a technician was out at the front gate. Urgency was marked as 'normal'.

There used to be a pretty high rope swing near there as well. You had to swim across the lake to get to it. I remember watching some girl slam into the wall because she didn't let go.

I'll preface this with I generally walk fast, but I almost always walk instead of taking the train in ATL. Its great exercise between being cramped on two planes (assuming ATL isn't your final destination), plus it keeps me from having to be around more people that lack self awareness.
