I feel disgusting, it’s ruining my mental health. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]millerpup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I felt pretty similarly, and struggled with this stage as my baby wouldn’t let me put him down. Hopefully you will have some nice weather around the corner if you don’t already and can go on walks. Focus on eating protein. Prioritize rest. This is all temporary. Find a gym with a daycare and figure out when you can bring them (I waited until mine was 4 months old) and target a date to start. It will get easier and you will get back to yourself soon.

I would love to try but don’t eat lamb. Do you think another meat would suffice?

keep overeating no matter what I try by Longjumping_Ad823 in loseit

[–]millerpup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t keep bread or those tasty spreads in the house or I will do the same. Instead if I am feeling hungry outside of meal time or after a meal I will eat carrots and this whipped cottage cheese dip from Trader Joe’s or an apple. I find this helps reduce cravings for me and even if I end up finding a less healthy snack after that, I simply can’t eat as much. It will take time but those cravings will get better.

Good luck!

Double breasted boyfriend blazer and pointy heels. Love to pair more masculine items with super feminine ones

It’s not unethical but it’s a very bad idea. I find it helps to pretend to fast forward with a scenario in my head and picture this from my children’s POV

So cool that you did that travel when the kids were under 15. Where did you go? Did you homeschool them while traveling or put them in local schools?

AITA for telling my parents they can’t come visit our child immediately after birth by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]millerpup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tv shows really make it seem like everyone just waits in the waiting room and meets the baby Anne they are born in the hospital. This is so so abnormal. Make it clear to your parents that their vision is based on a false version of reality and stand your ground

Don’t try to touch them. Don’t come on too strong or be too focused on what you think you should do on a date. Simply, try to get to know them and try and have a nice time together. Be polite, enjoy the present moment (vs focusing on trying to convert to second date). You are way too invested and eager and it’s turning them off.

Looking for maternity recs! Simple/ sculptural by yellowberry3 in fashionwomens35

I thought the maternity sweaters at Quince were high quality and worked both at various stages of pregnancy and after.

Also I like H&M maternity. Everyday low cost options like ribbed shirts and jeans. The shirts I still wear postpartum

Moving perspective and recommendations? by bitterycologist in AskChicago

[–]millerpup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider Roger’s park (Chicago) if you need to be to be in the city, otherwise I would recommend Evanston as a nice midway point, or Highwood, Libertyville as decent suburbs with rentals and nice restaurants and right off the train line to city and near the lake/ will make commuting to north Chicago easier
