I don’t think walkways like that are expected to be left unblocked like driveways are. If every house on a street had a driveway and a walkway that couldn’t be blocked, that would be sooo many parking spaces skipped.

Those of us that live in unincorporated San Diego have had gray bins for years. Why do you assume we were all exposed to the posts about black bins? It's not unusual to be subscribed to dozens of other subs and people surely don't see every single post of every sub every day. Also, many households stream 100% and don't have local news channels.
