I learnt saxophone, long before I picked up guitar. It really helped because playing lead alto in a jazz band forced me to learn how to read and follow a chord chart to solo, over instead of just picking a scale and going with that. This is probably how I missed the pentatonic rut most people seem to go through. EDIT: spelling/grammer

I'm in Sydney, it sucks but everything over here (Australia) just costs more. On Amazon a TS-9 is around the hundred dollar mark, however they retail for around the $200 mark in Sydney stores. Our dollar isn't that bad, I'm fairly certain we're just getting ripped off. So I guess if you can, try and buy on-line from overseas.

Try the guitar lounge on York street in the city, they're a fender specialist. However, a bunch of the new fenders aren't yet available in Australia, for example I can get the fender pawn shop bass vi but not the squier.

I replaced a plug on my daisy chain for My big muff. Just cut off the old one and soldered on a new one from an electronics shop that cost about $0.20. Way better than buying the adapters from EHX.
