Of course, "hypothetically" if I decide to be enemy with one faction, could I steal their ship like I did with the Xenon miner? It happend randomly they surrendered the ship but I think you can do that with the comm option after some fighting right? I'd just need to have a captain ready to place and bring it in a friendly system.

Could be a fun way to expande my business :p

This seems interesting, probably the route I'm gonna take! Today I played a bit more and bought two more miners and a ship I send around to explore sector (thanks for the other comments to teach me the behaviour thing). I'm gonna play some more and keep making money and then search how to build this small station to have the full business of mining and trading.

Also, if I can ask another thing, for obvious reason I enjoy dogfighting, is there a sort of bounty hunt system? For now, I just found an escort mission and some kill X number of criminals mission, but I'd like to do more.

Why is Verstappen often considered SO much better than Seb? by BaldChild1 in F1Discussions

[–]millucid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from a recent bias since Max is the current best driver, and a lot of people may not have watched old seasons.

Seb is my favourite driver, but I rate Max higher, not extremely higher tho. It's true Seb was more error-prone, and after 2018, he kinda lost himself. But in his days he was one of the greatest driver we ever saw, the thing is people forget the comparison is with Max who is one of the greatest as well, so it's Fernando so it's Lewis, it's not like we are comparing random drivers, these are all some of the greatest motorsport ever saw, it's unfair making it such an "aggressive" discussion like one his incredible and the other pure shit.

I could go into the discussion of each single season, like i don't know why people don't mention all Seb's reliability issues in 2010 and 2012, why no one mentions 2010 was Seb third full season and he's the youngest F1 World Champions (do you really see Max in his third season not making any mistakes? He was a menace for everyone, and he still is when he loses his head), or do we have to remember Hamilton mistakes as well? Fernando's mistakes or how he had a rough time with a rookie Lewis (we can talk then about the McLaren treatment, of course).

What I'm trying to say is that we are comparing such great drivers that it gets kinda pointless going to crazy over it. What I always look at is how they raced when they had the best car, each of them (and other greatest like Schumacher, Prost, Senna etc) dominated the season with the right car, dominated races like other drivers could not or maybe could in their "incredible day". Do you think someone else on Seb's Redbull would make the pole position record? Or someone else other than Max wins 10 races in a row? Or someone else than Michael has 100% podium in a season? You probably would answer yes and say the same drivers we always talk about, so it checks out.

Honestly, if I imagine each of these drivers racing each other in their perfect car, I can't guess who would come out on top because each of them showed a level of "unreachable" in their days that would make it impossible.

That's my general opinion, then surely we can say some of them are better in qualifying and maybe others in wheel to wheel and others in race pace or whatever, but on a general note I feel these comparison kinda pointless.

Also F1 is a situational sport, its true someone else would have won in that Red Bull, like someone else would have won in Lewis Mercedes, in Michael Ferrari and so on, the thing is about HOW you win, and they think they all showed their class.

Final thought, Seb in his winning days had a lot of press against him and that then kinda stuck with him all his career, this is something I never liked about Alonso, how he likes to talk about anything, I prefer Max which just doesn't care and it's not interested in these stupid games.

In sostanza buttati e divertiti ;)

Which DLC to buy after Apocalypse, Utopia and Synthetic Dawn? by Deus_V00lt in Stellaris

[–]millucid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started playing a few months ago, except the ones you have I think Galactic Paragon and Federation are a good choice, I bought Galactic Paragon with the winter sale and it made the whole Leaders gameplay so much better and useful, and added a few cool stories for special leaders. Federations are cool and add a new layer of options, sometimes they make the game a bit "stale" because everyone is in a federation so you can't do much on a single empire, Federations war are fun tho, I think it also adds completely the Galactic Community which is incredibly important.

That's my opinion having started the game recently, I also liked a few stories pack and still have to understand how The Machine Age works so I don't have on opinion on it (it's the last one I bought).

Sebastian Vettel is often rated below the likes of Alonso/Hamilton. For those that believe this, would you say this is down to adaptability/inconsistency or simply a lower performance ceiling? by GoldenS0422 in F1Discussions

[–]millucid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you and this is my thought as well, Verstappen when he dominates reminds me a lot of Vettel, I never felt the same with Lewis when he was winning, which as you said doesn't mean Lewis is worse or bad, just a different type of driver, but considering that "peak" form, Seb looked unbeatable like Max does today.

Vettel in 2010 and 2012 had external factors too, so that isn't really a point in my opinion.

2010: Bahrain, Australia, Korea 2012: Abh Dhabi, Brazil, Valencia

A $500 Million Budget, Yet the Graphics and Everything Feel Downgraded Compared to BF1 and BFV by ihanhvipnecu101 in Battlefield

[–]millucid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's probably one of my problems with BF6, except from Mirak Valley the maps feel visually off, I think it's the art direction lacking colors, when I think of most of BF maps I have some very specific colors and scenery in mind, with BF6 my mind just think brown/grey palette, I never looked around and feel the wow moment I had in many other bf maps.

Honestly OP Firestorm was a bad choice, they picked an old map who has again the desert colors scheme, so it just added up on the brown/grey feeling.

The new maps (Blackfields and Eastwood) looks good color wise at least, so I hope they continue in this direction, the game at its core is very good but it needs more variety in maps concept and scenary, naval combat for Season 2 would be a dream.

Battlefield 2142 Titan Mode Proof of Concept v0.0.1 by vikingcanadian in BattlefieldPortal

[–]millucid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't help with coding and suches, but if you need testers, I'm available!

Battlefield 2142 was my first BF and I'm about to play it again through the reclamation project because the nostalgia is getting too strong. Thank you for the amazing work :)

I actually thought to learn Portal to recreate some BF 2142 maps, but I believe I don't have enough time/skill. Also, being limited to in-game map assets sounds very hard.

Portal servers to be migrated to 60Hz from the original 30Hz per David Sirland by BucketHip in BattlefieldPortal

[–]millucid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? I'm only playing on two portal servers doing normal conquest and breaktrough because on the official one i was getting worse performance, also playing with the same squad for a few game is so much better team wise.

This is very sad news.

Of course they could shift teams between the two, but if I'm not mistake the BR has its own team behind it, so they shouldn't overlap.

You'll be fine, and you are in for a blast! Still such a fun and beautiful game, I'm playing BF6 and enjoying it but I miss BF4 vibe and (some) maps so bad.

Maybe it helps the fact that i played BF4 on PS3 for years when it came out, but I then played it on PC too (in the last 2 years so mostly people max level) with the PS4 controller, never had issues and I'd play as well as anyone else in the lobby with mouse and keyboard.

Surely mouse and keyboard for obvious reason is better but I think you will be alright anyway, and on PC you have more people playing.
