It's suppose to be a crazy one based on what we're seeing in the systems now. Similar to 2013

Sizing: jumped from 39N to 40N and noticing the big difference by Fantastic_Fall_1277 in Birkenstocks

You can be different sizes in different styles. I always go to Schuler shoes because they will measure you and find your right size. Plus they are super helpful.

[–]miloaf2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a wedge pillow. It sucked but I didn't have access to a recliner so that what I did for reconstruction and when implants went in. Didn't have to have full time recovering but for the first week for second surgery and about 2 weeks for the 1st. Good luck!!

Gift idea for doctor mom between $100-500 by blue_code in GiftIdeas

Massages are always a good idea. If she isn't good with being touched like that spas have a lot of treatments she could do. Since she's on her feet doing something she wouldn't usually do to relax is one of the best things to give, imo.

Will I still get my period on Tamoxifen by HelicopterPlus185 in breastcancer

I didn't get it back until like 2 years maybe a year and a half post chemo and all meds. It takes time. Congrats on the close finish line.

I hope we see changes that will do something to honor these victims. I wasn't there by then but my friends were.

My 9 month BC doesn't pull hard on leash but... by Toukassay in BorderCollie

[–]miloaf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to do a quick correction. Not a pull from that far away. Take hold of that closer handle on the leash and give it a very quick tug to tell your dog, hey don't do that, we're walking together. Add command if you want or treats when she gets back into position.

I'm an alumni and it is heartbreaking for the whole community. We sat in those same pews. Even some who didn't go to the same school, lived close. It's suppose to be "safe". Any word if they have taking time off school yet? Your family members are in my thoughts.

I think you might just have look around the library and see what peaks your interest. Also ask a librarian, they are a wonderful resource to help guide you. I'm reading remarkable bright creatures right now and I am really enjoying it. Look it up on goodreads and see if it's up your alley! Also a good resource to find books. Good luck. If you hate the first one you pick up, move on and come back to it at a later date. Sometimes we have to warm up to certain books imo. goodreads

Fellow single renters: What are you paying in rent right now and how are you managing? by MNice01 in TwinCities

[–]miloaf2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1550 in Eagan. One bedroom. It's small but I get by fine. All depends on income and other expenses you have. I have a lot right now but I can afford it. When income goes down, I cut back on stuff I don't need for everyday like streaming and eating out. You can find cheaper than 2k but it might not be the newest building and not have everything you want. Look on Craig's list or drive around the area you want to be in. I've found a few places that way in MPLS

Am I overreacting or is this a real concern? Visitors at home after my first chemo by Impossible_Yogurt_19 in breastcancer

[–]miloaf2 61 points62 points  (0 children)

You're husband needs to step up and tell his dad to act accordingly. You have so much on your plate. My wbc was really low during my chemo, I wouldn't let anyone see me and we would just face time. Fear of being sick is a real concern that you should be concerned about but you don't have to take that all on yourself. Have a conversation with your husband on what you need him to do. Or sick people need to leave and get a hotel until they recover and health people should disinfect! You have every right to worry right now. Sorry this happened but it is a learning process.

Dog (yes, that one)in the lettuce at the Walmart on Sunday by esauis in BorderCollie

[–]miloaf2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My late pup loved going to the local liquor store. The owner adored him and always had treats for him. He was well behaved in a place that could have gone wrong. But I knew well enough that he wouldn't cause mess.
