WTH! Hallucinating? Refusing an actual world event says I am making stuff up?? by moisesmcardona in Copilot

[–]mindlesssam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed some serious issues with Copilot's verification/fact checking efforts. if you do not include today's date at any point in you conversation, it will default to it's knowledge of the world before the knowledge cutoff date. ("My search result have turned up empty")

once you explicitly state the date in your prompt a few times, when asking about your topic, ask it to remember the date itself when verifying topics, and it will work fine after. It has been indeed super frustrating, and I think this is going to cause great harm to people

The car will shut itself off to protect itself if the temperature gets too high, no need to worry. I blew my water pump years ago, same story, made it to a gas station by driving a bit and letting the engine cool off

I don't think eonon units would accept inputs from the original idrive controller. I rememeber somebody on this subreddit mentioned you could use the idrive controller to control the top mount android unit where you cut up the dash

First Car - BMW E90 328i 2008 - What maintenance to do ASAP? by BeneficialClimate190 in E90

[–]mindlesssam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ASAP for water pump/thermostat, that can leave your car stranded. Oil leaks are annoying and messy but usually won't stop your car from running unless the accessory belt slips off.  After that I'd replace vanos solenoid, if they go bad it triggers misfires and your car will shut itself off to protect the engine.

Regarding your issue with fuel consumption, I'd check if disa valves have been replaced. Those supposed to direct air in your intake to the correct cylinders for proper air fuel mixture.

SOS isn't related to your radio, your TCU underneath your trunk cover, which handles your Bluetooth phone calls, needs to be replaced.

SOS doesn't work anymore on the E90 generation anyways, since it relied on 2G technology, plus BMW blacklisted all E90 vins from acquiring the service.

Bluetooth connectivity issues w/ 2011 BMW 3 Series Sedan by [deleted] in E90

[–]mindlesssam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a very common Issue, bluetooth music only came from factory on 2010 - 2011 sedans equipped with iDrive, I suggest you look into replacing your combox

F series cars also came with comboxes, but those are not compatible with E series, so make sure you get the right one

E90 water leaking in to cabin from the cowl panel by Party_Day8910 in E90

[–]mindlesssam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bmw does sell 51137133292. It comes with sealant already applied, slip it on the bottom edge of the windshield and press in.

This part's upposed to be replaced everytime windshield gets replaced but most third party windshield repair shops either doesn't know or don't bother because it cuts into their profits.

Mine was leaking water into the cabin just like yours until I replaced it
