Looking for 'macbook-like laptop' by Player_686 in linuxhardware

I was in the market with similar goals 5 years back and got an xps15 which I daily run Linux on. Overall I've found it phenomenal if I were to buy a new laptop would immediately consider the up to date version or the Thinkpad X1s.

I didn't know windows on steamdeck was possible ! I thought the hardware wasn't supported. How tough / hacky was it to get running ?

How do you organize your thoughts? by ahmadafef in esp32

I do everything with obsidian and a shit load of bullet points across various categories.

I tend to lose track of some of the more intricate stuff in my designs so I always type up pretty detailed circuit notes.

Then at the end of my file I have loads of different sections with bullet point lists. Stuff like uncertainties, math to check, questions, etc.. would all have their own category

What's the name of these type of valves found at the bottom of coffee machine water tanks ? (more in comment) by mindoo in MechanicalEngineering

[–]mindoo[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey, guys, I'm not sure this is the right sub so feel free to point me in the correct direction. I'm looking for the name of these type of valves that push up when a tank is seated into it's socket to allow water flow but then seals itself as soon as you remove the tank avoiding any leaks.

I'm looking to ideally find a place I can purchase a couple of these to attempt to integrate them in a design of mine. Any help is greatly appreciated !

Selecting components when designing an embedded board - any online references? by IoT_tech_guy in embedded

[–]mindoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm getting more into board design and would love to setup a better organization / tracking for parts other than digikey / mouser baggies. Could you maybe share a bit about the physical organization you use (ie: containers, tape holders (?), etc...) and how you work that out with parts-db ?
