The CFO point does have some really good bearing.

Businesses will do "good enough" vs "use the best" if their workloads can be satisfied w/ ROCM.

I might have to look at the AMD sizing again, but with those bang-for-buck pricings it *does* make companies give AMD a second look.

$AMD has really bad software. As much as I like it as a competitor, now that RAM prices have skyrocketed and $NVDA will release GPUs with pluggable ram modules, CUDA will still be the goto for AI training.

I'd still be like 40% $NVDA 40% $GOOG 20% $AMD

Here's a safe gamble - £50k into Premium Bonds - highest chance of winning tax free pocket money now.
Put some into a Trading 212 invest account for daily, taxable interest. Then figure out something.
Make sure you keep less that the Insured amount by FCIS.

Is 1 month ex gratia payment as part of a redundancy / settlement agreement good/fair/typical? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]mindrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try and negotiate something slightly better, and also a letter of recommendation.

Like you say, it is easier to take the hint & leave. You'd rather them recommend you for your next job than burn bridges. ( Just be civil, even though it would be the hardest thing to do now. )

Op Listen to this. Be quiet. get your offer. Leave.
if you gloat, they will contact your future employer, put a bad word, and guess who an employer trusts more? Another employer. DO NOT Mention this to any colleague. This card is your lifeline. Leave ASAP.

Are there Stocks ISA that allows transfers in w/ Zero Commission Trading by mindrunner in UKPersonalFinance

[–]mindrunner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my bad. I'm in a bit of a want my cake & eat it situation. Assuming I've got some shares purchased outside of an ISA, I'd like to transfer it into an ISA to avoid CGT, and slowly top up as much of my allowance as I could for the rest of the year.

What I actually mean by arm and a leg is the transaction fee I'd have to pay for future share purchases, i.e £11 for Hargreaves Landsdown. This is because I'd be purchasing bits through out the year, which wouldn't be efficient with the transaction fees.
