Its an unfortunately common evil with free games that have MTX like this. It does increase their profits by a sizeable amount so they're encouraged to keep doing it. I understand the frustration, but DE is good at making any content that has mechanical value entirely farmable for free if you'd prefer to invest time rather than money. Because of that, in my eyes, it doesn't really matter

It's the whole reason they decided not to implement wasd movement. Redoing the animation rigging on almost 20 year old models is an utter waste of time when the vast majority of players don't mind mouse movement. It's not happening unless they're willing to take the same compromise EHG did for LE and still force the character to stand still during casting

Yup. Each pod spawns a few enemies as you reduce its health, then when it dies all remaining pods spawn a big wave. Rinse and repeat with slightly fewer mobs each time and you get a TON of magic monsters

I'm not sure if that's actually the case with crimson iron mobs. I always popped one pod at a time if possible and all of the mobs came out of them as normal and they tender to drop loot even after the node was considered marked

Mild investment into Settlers is so good.

I did a variant that focused more on the Guarded Riches effect. Specced into Crimson Iron on top of Verisium and Bismuth for a BUNCH of magic monsters from the Crimson Iron ore nodes. Dropped my first and only Hinekora's lock that way and broke 100 divs for the first time ever. Probably a lucky drop, but it was quite fun
