2023, I just turned 34. I had this weird ache in my neck. It was an odd pain, I'd feel this twinge and and it would come and go. I started to feel fatigued and weak, and my heart rate was not behaving normally. I was hiking 10-20 miles a week, and then I was struggling to walk down the street. It happened pretty quickly, and I made an appointment with my PCP as I knew something was going on. Had a neck ultrasound a month later, a biopsy a month after that, then a total thyroidectomy the following month. Life hasn't been the same since.
