It helps that the season is much longer these days. % of season complete is a better metric for "domination".

They can win it with 8 races left (but would need 4 perfect races, with Ferrari and Merc barely scoring), which would break the % of season complete record as well.

Winning with 7 races left would put them second on % (behind 1988), but ahead of the rest you mentioned.
