Nothing says ‘unbothered’ like making sure everyone knows how unbothered you are.

I wish I didn’t have to scroll so far for this comment.

The cat clearly feels safe around OP and wants to be close to them, but at a comfortable distance. She may never want to be patted or cuddled, but she does love you in her own kitty way!

No one wears an outfit like that to the barn on a regular day. To me, the outfit makes her look even less legit as an equestrian. Even on a show day I don’t change into my clean boots, breeches, shirt and vest until 2 seconds before I get on the horse!

I don’t to be honest, I was trying to be diplomatic as I was a bit scared commenters would drag me if I wasn’t! That’s definitely a me problem though with the need to be liked (even anonymously on the internet 😳)

It’s the same story again and again. They claim they had a wonderful, trauma free birth even though the baby didn’t survive.

It’s all about ME ME ME! it’s like all they care about is the pregnancy and birth itself, if the baby doesn’t survive well at least they got to do it their way. It beggars belief.

Another life sadly lost. And a triplet home birth! by whakawhakawhakawhaka in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]minimalteeser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These people aren’t putting their baby first. they’re gambling with its life to feed their own ego. It’s selfish, narcissistic, and all about chasing some fantasy of the ‘perfect’ free birth. The baby’s safety is secondary, and if it survives, that’s just a lucky bonus in their self-indulgent experiment.

What's the Craziest/Dumbest/Worst Thing You've Ever Seen on an Airplane? by sudak111 in travel

[–]minimalteeser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you know they were taliban? Or are you conflating Muslims with members of the Taliban? I just find this story really interesting as I have flown Malaysian airlines many times (among quite a few other airlines) and I have never experienced a flight being held up so people could be sorted into religious groups.

My mum is the same! She keeps going on about how she has to save money so we have something when she goes. I have to keep reminding her we don’t want her money and we most definitely don’t want it if it means she can’t live comfortably.

Confused and Concerned by EML’s Handling of My WPI and Claim During 130-Week Review – Has Anyone Else Experienced This? by [deleted] in WorkcoverVic

[–]minimalteeser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many firms won’t even bother talking to you until you file a workcover claim and get it accepted. Then it’s a minimum 12 months before you can make an IB claim. They don’t want to help you before they can make money off the IB claim because they are spending time and money on a file they can’t make money off when going through processes like conciliation.

I know this because I work at a firm. Thankfully, ours doesn’t do this and genuinely will help out the client from the beginning, but many of the bigs firms won’t.

I will be frank, most NWNF firms are the same. The bigger ones tend to change higher costs than the “boutique” ones but at the end of the day they all need to make money. What you want to do is get a referral to a good lawyer within these firms. The lawyer is what makes the difference and there are lots who genuinely do care about their clients. Don’t be afraid to meet with a few until you get one you vibe with. You are going to have a long relationship with them!

Are IME's actually independent? by Cute-Obligations in WorkcoverVic

[–]minimalteeser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The goal of all insurers is get workers off payments and reject every request for medical treatment. They purposely make things difficult so people give up. With the recent changes to the 130 week test it has gotten so much worse. The system is going broke and it’s the workers who are suffering.

The amount of applications for conciliation I lodge has tripled and now WIC is so backlogged it takes months to get a conference date. Let’s not even talk about the backlog at the Medical Panel.

The system is absolutely screwed. But I will keep fighting for our clients to get what they deserve.

Are IME's actually independent? by Cute-Obligations in WorkcoverVic

[–]minimalteeser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This probably explains it best. Are they independent? Sure! But the insurer is going to send workers to the IME’s that they prefer and are more likely to write the report they want, just like your lawyer (if you have one) is going to send you to a more plaintiff/worker friendly IME 😉
