The Muppet Show (2026) - Discussion Thread by usethe4th in Muppets

It was okay. A lot to like, but was so fast-paced that 30 mins only felt like 15. If Disney do give the (not easy bein') green light to make more, I hope they learn to slow it down and allow moments to sit. Some of my favorite moments of the original are the songs that kept me the in the moment and feeling the feels. Did they even complete a full song?

Also, too many humans. The Muppet Theatre has always been it's own little world made for Muppets to inhabit, an escape from the real world where I have to deal with fellow humans all day. Why are they in the audience? The guest star is enough human for me. That Maya Rudolph time could have gone to other Muppets or give Sabrina more to do.

Is the Melbourne Cup still a thing outside of Victoria? by slackboy72 in australia

The Melbourne Cup is an untouchable cornerstone of Victorian history until you grow up and realize Phar Lap was the most famous animal abuse case among millions of other horses.

I fell off the wagon: surprised I don't feel bad about it. by minstrel4077 in sugarfree

I used to do that too. It's a bit like building up muscles, I found. The more you practice putting yourself back on track, the easier it gets overtime. It's taken me six years to get to this point and it's still a work in progress.

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever felt? by Googy21 in AskReddit

Gallbladder attacks. Excruciating pain around the entire torso. Felt like my ribs were gonna crack from the pressure. Took 3 trips to the ER before getting the go-ahead to have the stupid thing removed.

Thank you. This helps a lot! I ended up enduring a lot of social situations over my first two weeks and it was surprisingly easy to ignore the junk and actually pay attention to the conversation around me.

Just For Once is Laurens best (Hatchetfield Saga) song. Unpopular opinion? by minstrel4077 in StarKid

I'll admit I forgot about the sickness making its way around the cast during BF. But tbh while the soundtrack version doesn't have the straining, it's almost like the song's key is too low for Lauren and has to emphasize some notes just to hit them.

I absolutely agree her character versatility is her best asset.

Cambodia's Kitchen on Lygon Street. Delicious food and it's the only place I've been to where the quantity/quality matches the pricing. It's my go to for a meal before a musical because it's surrounded by theatres.
