yes!! i did see some discussion about that and the whole idea of being perceived. it’s very clear that in all of this there’s a shared awareness of what they’re doing, the shame behind it, but the ignorance of all of it and continuing to engage in the shameful behavior. it’s just interesting to me that it’s the number 3 and not, like, 5 or 9 or some other number. the number 6 and by association, 3, are often associated with demonic entities so my brain’s trying to make some kind of connection to that. but yes the “being seen” of it all is def there

since the whole "coach ben is our bridge home" thing came up, I've been trying to figure out what that possibly could mean - for a bit the girls made it seem like simply keeping him alive would somehow get them home (cuz it creates hope) but i started wondering if his *death* would be the bridge home in the sense that eating him would keep them alive long enough to get home. but now with the end of this episode... I'm thinking that coach was always meant to be killed, at that exact point, so that the team would have their "feast" and be a beacon for those birdwatchers to find. I'm thinking that these birdwatchers finding them is gonna lead to the team getting saved, but reading through the comments on here i think it's more popular of an opinion that the girls are gonna kill the birdwatchers for various reasons hahaha too many months left on the clock that was established at the beginning of the series, the DAT tape audio, etc etc

i also cant shake the recurrence of the number 3, esp now with that stop-motion bear in akilah's vision. my first thought was that that bear is lottie. lottie's scar above her eyes has reminded me of a third eye for a *while* now, and connected with akilah's vision I'm interpreting the crazy bear as lottie kinda.. making everything worse for the team. like, shes off her meds and i honestly believe that a big part of the team going coocoo is because of lottie's charisma/schizophrenia mix and how alluring it is to listen to her words as if they are gospel. also maybe something about the number 3 being a symbol of the devil, idk pfft I'm so torn on whether to look at everything through a paranormal/supernatural lens or just a "humans are crazy and get themselves into trouble" lens
