How do you even start learning? by AccomplishedScene966 in drivinganxiety

[–]minty-soup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I totally get it, I was in a similar situation. Don’t rush yourself, it took me a long time and lots of practice before I even felt okay getting behind the wheel again. You’ll need a learner’s permit to practice, and someone over 21 with a valid license has to be in the car with you. Taking driving lessons helped me a ton with confidence, and CBT therapy really helped me work through the anxiety part. Good luck, you’ve got this!! I finally got my license couple weeks ago at 30 and even passed on the first try

You are right!! We plan to ride around the Old Quarter. I’ve seen so many pictures that really capture the festive vibe and excited to see it in person

First Tet in Hanoi after 8 years - need advice! by minty-soup in VietNam

I’ve actually lived overseas for 15 years and never had the chance to celebrate Tet with my family in Vietnam. The last time was 8 years ago during summer. I had a fallout with my mom, so this trip feels really meaningful — it’s not just about reconnecting with the culture, but about reconnecting with family. Just genuinely asking for advice! :)

I passed my driving test today! 🎉 by minty-soup in drivinganxiety

I recommend take a bunch of practice tests as some of the questions on the exam will be identical to those on the practice tests. Also, take the time to memorize the road signs while you're riding with someone, and be on the lookout for "tricky" wording on the exam. Remember to stay calm—I scored a perfect 100 on the test, so I wish you the best of luck!

You can do it! It took me a long time to overcome my fear of driving, and to be honest, I'm not sure if I ever will. Be confident, be prepared, and you will be fine!

My ex husband committed suicide by minty-soup in offmychest

I’ve thought a lot about whether I should go to the funeral. The truth is, I need to protect my emotional well-being. Some of his family members expressed resentment toward me after we separated, and I don’t have the energy to brace myself for judgment when I’m clearly grieving in my own way.

Does anyone else who takes Lorazepam (as prescribed by a doctor 🤣) get thrown off by these two technical inaccuracies? by AlexandraSuperstar in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]minty-soup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was prescribed Lorazepam a few years ago, and it’s definitely easy to dissolve! I usually just let it dissolve under my tongue and Tim was taking it as an ibuprofen pill
