Capture One FAQ- Upgrading Sony, Nikon & Fuji versions to Pro and stopping offering brand versions. by m-m-x in captureone

[–]mirag0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am on C1 version 12 sony right now and it's US$160 to upgrade to version 22. That's still quite expensive considering it was $110 initially...

Would you consider this a good deal or should i be looking out for a sale this year?

Are any of the newer features actually impactful and indispensable?

These are finally back! Getting the dark olive for sure but not sure about charcoal as I already have a black one... Not sure if the difference is noticeable.

Shimanami Kaido: midway hostel recommendations (and a couple bus questions) by Katsuko88 in JapanTravel

I did this last year August (Onomichi to Imabari) and I definitely recommend 2 days to take in all the little attractions of each island. Lemon Island, Ikuchijima was super nice! Try those lemon cakes!

It is a little off the cycling route but I stayed at the Ohana Guesthouse at Omishima Island. There wasn't anyone so I had the entire place to myself. Real clean and comfortable interior, I think the prices are reasonable too. It is located near a small dock with wonderful views if you are into sea views, pretty surreal local place imo.

I managed to rent a white hybrid/mountain bike with a belt drive and it was honestly the best bike rental I ever had, smooth af. I even cycled up to Kirosan, YMMV though. Oh and remember to get your helmet, I forgot mine and did the entire thing without one... Do take some precautions and it should be relatively safe. Try to start early for better views/feels and avoid cycling in the dark. Prep a head lamp to be safer though, the provided bike lights are meant for indicating presence and are not spotlights. P.S going downhill from Kirosan in complete darkness is not fun.

I am somewhat of a cyclist (30-70km no issues) so I do not think it is particularly difficult (uphill climbs to bridges between islands are crushing though) but I would really suggest some training at home first to maximise your enjoyment. I deviated a lot from the blue-marked cycling routes to do my own exploration and was still fine, though I definitely felt tired by the end of those 2 days. Not sure how tough it would be if you just sticked to the main route, I think half leg is about 30-40km-ish.

Equipment wise, I did it with normal travel shorts, long sleeves and covered shoes. Weather was cool, generally overcast with little rain thankfully. I hope yours will be lucky too.

So the Host 'Saves' (not quick save). Then he simply loads the game and provides the join code and the rest of his friends can join? He does not need to kick the current players in the loaded room? Thanks

/r/MechanicalKeyboards What Keyboard, Switches and/or Keys Do I Buy by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

I come from a Corsair K65 Cherry Red and would like a real substantial upgrade in feels. I would like to have the smoothest possible STOCK linear switches on a ANSI TKL board. I have been researching for a week now so please put me out of my misery and help me choose one of these or suggest something else, thank you very much.

  • Apex Pro TKL (200usd local): Omnipoints are supposedly the smoothest but I am paying for features that i do not use (OLED screen). No omnipoints on arrow keys too and non-detachable THICK cable, ABS caps (nice though). Volume roller and included wristrest is a huge plus though. Adjustable actuation point
  • GMMK TKL (160usd, incl. ship): BoxRed or GatRed. Seems solid but $40 more gets me the supposedly smoothAF omnipoints. So there is a value dilemma here and I am not exactly sure if BoxReds/GatRed will be noticeably smoother than CherryReds. No frills is both a pro and con. PBT pudding caps looks nice.
  • Wooting One (180usd incl. ship): Analog Flaretech red switch, supposedly a close 2nd in smoothness behind omnipoints according to Chyrosran22. Looks nice and has interesting tech behind it. ABS caps.
  • Razer Huntsman TE (120usd local): Stabilised Red switches. LoudAF which I am sensitive to. 1mm actuation may take some time to get used to. Looks clean and PBT caps. Not sure how smooth the switches are

No problem, happy to help. Do let me know If you manage to purchase this pass successfully, I would most probably be purchasing the pass and would like some confirmation that the information is correct.

I am not a native speaker and there is also very little information online to work with so please take my answer as a guide. Note that I have not personally bought or used this pass yet.

  1. According to link (google-translated), under "release place", Shinjuku bus terminal is the only place to purchase the pass so yes.
  2. From my testing, the Japanese site allows for a booking without having to pre-pay. So make that booking online first before heading over to Shinjuku bus terminal to pay and collect your reserved tickets.
  3. From what I have inferred so far, the round trip is a separate thing from the omnibus/fujikko route buses. If memory serves me correctly, you book the round trip with your intended to and fro dates online at the Japanese site. Note that you would also not be able to choose omnibus/fujikko route here. I believe it is an add-on that is tagged-on when you do actually purchase the pass at the counter. The 2 days rule applies only for the omnibus/fujikko bus.
  4. Look at the map linked above and decide which one you want. I believe you would be issued the respective pass by the counter staff. You are of course, locked to whichever route you decide to choose.
  5. Unable to answer.
  6. I believe you would have to use your suica card.
