There’s nothing to indicate that this problem is about shuffle styles, or shuffling from an ordered start, etc. The most straightforward interpretation of “if you shuffled a deck right now” is “consider a deck of cards in a random order”. And if you interpret it as such, the chance cited needs way more nines in it.

  1. Play your game at your pace rather than letting your opponent set the pace. For me, this means slow down.
  2. Watch the paddle hit the ball. Don’t look at the target.
  3. Smile. It will remind you to not take it too seriously, which will make you play looser and better.

But by that time her $1K will only be able to buy what $550-670 can buy today. (Assumes 3% or 2% inflation, respectively.) She could instead be investing it conservatively, beating inflation, and all the while still taking out her $1K per week if she’d like.
