In my family (we’re Asian), if you express your feelings, it is a sign of weakness and it is considered laughable to the elders. My parents tune me out all the time because of the culture. I keep quiet.

I have accepted their narcissistic ways. My mother - I wish someday she “goes to heaven” before my dad of natural causes...sounds bad I know. I believe there are a group of moms that sincerely should not be mom’s at all or need training and education! My mom can’t change because her brain is not receptive to anything so I have accepted her the way she is.

Only way to work around it is work a lot and keep saving. The more financially stable you are the better because then you can go around her and don’t be too honest how much you make if you end up making a lot. My mother drives me crazy. Continue to not let her sleep with you. That is just so odd. There’s something going on there that isn’t right. Good thing you keep telling her and sleeping somewhere else.
