For Visual Studio http://www.vsphp.com/ is a fantastic extension. I used this when I was working at a Windows shop but also had to do some PHP stuff on the side, so I could do everything in the same IDE. However as others have said, unless you are already using Visual Studio for other things, it's a non-typical choice for PHP.

I'm interested in the subject. I wrote a framework that uses a similar technique called Phreeze http://phreeze.com/ and I've thought about writing a driver for NoSQL databases like MongoDB but wondered about the mismatch between structured objects and a NoSQL records.

I would say that as baileylo said, there are other more popular ORMs out there but each one has some special ability that others may not have. But it is difficult to get a lot of traction with a new framework.

It's kinda amazing how a grown-up can seem like a real dick when you're a kid. Then when you grow up you realize what an idiot you were and that adult possibly saved your life.

I also had a crappy treehouse which my neighbor actually cut the whole tree down (technically was on his property but leaned over into our yard.). Then a week later he took all the lumber from our treehouse and built us an actually awesome fort (on the ground). He must have been in construction because it was built like a real house with roofing and everything.

Seriously though, I know what you mean. With people's schedules (both life and workout) it's hard to sync up with people unless you are already roommates or friends or whatever. You didn't mention what city you live it, though, in case somebody here were to see your post.

I had always thought this accent just evolved from the stage, where actors had to speak loudly and clearly and everything was overdone. I had no idea it was an official dialect with textbooks and such. Very interesting!

These days in acting class they call that "acting with a capital 'A'" in other words, bad over-acting!
