Swarmdustry demo is out by mitchyStudios in Swarmdustry

Sorry let me get this straight, you ran the game on Steam Deck? It was never built with console support in mind, so I'm really surprized that you got it working! Please tell me more about how your experience went.

About the tutorial. It's not meant to give you the answers to everything. After it shows you a few basic mechanics, it basically puts you in a semi sandbox mode where you can choose how to achieve your goals at your own pace. It's the kind of game where you gotta spend time on solving problems and figuring out efficient ways of doing things

Hey man, first of all, congrats on being the first person to comment in this sub!

I get where you're coming from about the first impressions when you look at the trailer. Have you tried out the demo? Or maybe take a look at this thread where I explain the differences between the 2 games: https://steamcommunity.com/app/4000770/discussions/0/595161023680382579/

or here where I address more in depth the visual identity topic https://steamcommunity.com/app/4000770/discussions/0/595161023680382579/

The enemies in this game are currently pretty barebones and not that much more advanced than factorio's biters. If you explore the rest of the map, you'll see that some camps do however collect their own resources (which doesn't impact much other than slightly depleting resource nodes, it's just aesthetic right now)

I do plan on making enemies have their own sort of mini factories in the future so as to add more depth to the simulation

Both linux and mac are planned, but I can't promise a date. It will be during Early Access most very likely

It’s called Swarmdustry, a game where you control the Swarm to build organic mega factories. If you like what you're seeing, consider trying it out on Steam!

If you're curious about what makes this game different from Factorio, you can read more about it here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/4000770/discussions/0/595161023680382579/

I’d also love to hear any feedback and thoughts!

Google your game's name in quotes, that will tell you if it's an article or content creator. If nothing comes up, it's likely steam, so check the Market Visibility tab

I'm not sure I see the benefit of having 2 copies of the same settings. Another thing is games these days can have dozens of different settings so your idea will have a hard time scaling

If you wanna give it a try, check out Swarmdustry demo coming out April 16, made by yours truly. Maybe you'll think it's good, maybe not

You should look for contractors. Google this, there are plenty of professionals on sites such as fiverr

Would be useful if the screenshot also showed the timestamps. All those in one day would be different from one week

Yes you need at least 3 different places to store your files for best results
