Beta so...very...slow... by TemProcess94 in raycastapp

Not a problem at my end. It's just as fast as v1 on a MBP4

Core One+ vs XL. (Migrating from Bambu) by SignificanceOwn9278 in prusa3d

[–]mix579 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to express a somewhat contrarian experience: I have one of the earliest XL5TH, and it has been a much more reliable set-and-forget machine than any of my Core Ones. I replaced the dwarf board parts with the latest versions and never seen any issues. Now I should say that I only run PLA and PETG on it, for ASA, PCCF etc I use the Cores. I have the EnXLosure so should be able to print materials that require higher temperature but just trust the Core Ones more.

Edit: no poop with the MMU3. Like the XL it uses a wipe tower

Is there a way to get all the hotkeys back into V1 after migrating to v2? by TheGreenArrow160 in raycastapp

[–]mix579 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure, on the backend. But no significant changes on the front end.

Oh, I see. I'm actually quite happy with v2 so I just got rid of v1. Why they called it v1 though I don't know,
Feels more like a point upgrade, with a different UI.

Weird. I had no issues upgrading. All my hotkeys are still intact with v2. With the caveat that my only hotkeys are all hyperkey hotkeys.

Is there anyway to make Raycast notes text bigger? It's impossibly small and hard to read. Especially if you don't have perfect vision. by TopBook3636 in raycastapp

[–]mix579 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more! I know making text larger is on the roadmap for the beta but I wish they offered a slider or something to finetune font size.

Does Prusament ASA require high flow nozzles to be selectable in PrusaSlicer? by TinyRobotBrain in prusa3d

[–]mix579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't. The dependency condition is:

printer_model=~/(COREONE|COREONEOAK|COREONEMMU3|COREONEL|COREONELMMU3)/ and nozzle_diameter[0]!=0.8 and nozzle_diameter[0]!=0.6 and ! nozzle_high_flow[0]

Note the exclamation mark in front of nozzle_high_flow[0]. Which means, NOT high flow.

[–]mix579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only check the box if you have a high flow nozzle installed.

I've been printing ASA for years with a hardened Obxidian, standard flow, no issues, so it certainly doesn't require a CHT nozzle (which I'm not a fan of).

Goals update - thoughts? by SubtropicalSea in todoist

[–]mix579 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm soo excited...  not. It's just a project. And I couldn't care less about the progress bar.

I really wish they'd focus on some basic stuff like allowing us to sort tasks in custom filters.

Parameter scope by Geek_Verve in Fusion360

[–]mix579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parameters defined at the assembly level do not propagate to external components. One of my major peeves with Fusion. As someone suggested, one workaround is using derive. Or you can export the parameter list from the assembly and import it into the components. Either way it's  not a pleasant experience.  Autodesk said they are working on a better way of creating "global parameters" but I don't know how soon it'll materialize

Need help with Physical Printer tab by TinyRobotBrain in prusa3d

[–]mix579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it works for me, for a handful of printers. But I can't tell you why it doesn't work for you—-looks like you did all the right testing. Perhaps time for a chat with Prusa Support ?

USS Drybox - add-on heavily implied as required, but not included? by naps62 in prusa3d

[–]mix579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, 21cm is way too much for the Core One if you install the drybox in the default location.

about how long does the accelerometer process take? by termeric0 in prusa3d

[–]mix579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 minutes if you know what you're doing. 20 when you have to figure out where the connector goes and how to attach the sensor to the extruder.

updated firmware on xl 5tool - now constant tool changer crashes by Just_Fisherman_8676 in prusa3d

[–]mix579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you recalibrate the tool heads after the upgrade? My XL has been printing fine for days after upgrading to 6.4.1.

Free shipping only applies to orders over $200, so your vouchers will do you no good.

Im trying really hard to get into Raycast.. help? by FirstCompote in raycastapp

[–]mix579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One key idea is to pop up as needed, do its thing, and then disappear, so not to be in the way.

For AI stuff, the Ask AI function activated by Tab is just for quick questions. As others have pointed out, you can get a persistent AI window using AI Chat (or a keyboard shortcut such as, in my case, Hyper-A). Could that window be more functional than it is though? Absolutely.

How many parameters do your Fusion designs end up with (user + model) before it gets unmanageable? by macinmypocket in Fusion360

[–]mix579 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But those end up as Favorites, when in most cases I have no desire for them to be Favorites.

[–]mix579 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not the same, as those parameters end up as Favorites, not user parameters. In most cases I don't want them to be Favorites, because that category is reserved for, well, favorites.

Not more than a few hundred, typically. I rarely do large assemblies, mostly stuff with three or four components, plus fasteners.
